I'm 66 and was born and raised in Detroit. I now live in a downriver community.
I really would like to see Detroit get a workable government. Doesnt' look like they ever will. Its Sad.
I had high hopes for Kilpatirck but that didn't happen. We'll see who comes in next.

Oh, Kwame understands what he has done. However, he will never acknowledge that it was wrong, accept responsibility, or show remorse because it's not in his makeup. He's wired that way. His DNA is scrambled or something. But he will never, never change.

I want to commend all the news media for thier reporting of KK's misdeeds. The kilpatrick clan (including all the friends and family) will soon be shown for all of the wrongful things they have done to Detroit and it's citizens. Keep reporting everything related to this as it is in the public's interest. It is also a reminder to the public to do the homework before going to the polls to vote.

News Flash: Life is not fair. KK will do his time and come out a changed man, write a book, do the lecture circuit, perhaps have a radio talk show, open more charitable organizations for relatives to exploit, and of course get re-elected as Mayor of Detroit in a few years.

Finished means what dim whit kk is finished!! There will be no book deals and/or lectures that he will profit from. kk has been stripped of just about everything. He has been railroaded to jail, loss of law licenses, job, restitution, candidacy for 5yrs and we citizens of Detroit take no blame and/or shame in his demised. kk's story wouln not make an interesting SOPRANOS, THE WIRE, SEX AND THE CITY and OZ. kk is what he is FINISHED, CAPISH, DONE. The hood wink will just have to go back to selling crack.

The thug won't ever take responsibility for his actions. He still points the finger at everyone else. All I can say is that GOD will deal with him when it's his time. What he's serving now, won't compare to the sentence that God may end up granting him. I hope he finds God while he's locked up, but I highly doubt it. He'll never learn, and he'll never change. He deserves EVERYTHING he has coming to him. Now and in the afterlife.
