$30,000 for a chartered jet (Kwame won't let go of the luxury life) could have gone along way in restitution for the city. Also, why would his wife move to Texas to start a new life when Kwame was in jail and then would have 5 years probation (without permission to leave Michigan). Nothing makes any sense, was Carlita leaving him or do they know something about his probation that we don't.
I am happy he is getting out of Detroit. Hope he takes crooked friends and family with him and really lets Detroit get started on the healing process.

I use to have a friend who was a "State Trooper".We use to diguss about people who went to jail and prison.He said its like addiction in rehab.One out of twenty really "wake up" most just learn how to be come better liars,criminals and socialpaths.They even cry and swear to God almighty they have been healedI.E.Jimmy Swagert.They learn what to say and how to act,but, inside, they are the same ole same ole.If kawamie has found truth,how about letting us in on it..

Personally, I thought there should not have been any media attention given to former convicted felon and now released from jail, Kwame Kilpatrick. He's a narcissist and thrives on the kind of media attention that was given him upon his release from jail. All I want him to do is land him a job and start paying the city the $1 million in restitution he agreed to as part of the plea bargain to only spend 90 days in jail. --- Thomas A. Wilson Jr

What is Compuware's Peter Karmanos thinking? Previous & future layoffs. New hires had to be screened for ethics & morals. Know this nut hires a convicted felon AKA Kwame to a corporate post in IT which he has no experience! Down with Karmanos! He should be ashamed of what he did & I'm sure the rest of the US business community & his current employees are disgusted.

I guess I should not have been suprised by hearing one of the big players in the Detroit scene baling out the convicted ex-mayor immediately after his release. It makes one wonder what kinds of deals the ex-mayor made with Mr. Karmanos to smooth the process of locating the Compuware Corporate Headquarters downtown. Another empty suit we all used to look up to.
