Mayor's Bodyguard detains our Chief Investigator.

Some of you have seen this video & story of the Mayor's Executive Protection Unit detaining Channel 7 and WXYZ.com's Chief Investigator Steve Wilson.     It is of course news anytime an officer of the law uses physical force to prevent a journalist from doing his job.

As a policy, and just a good journalistic practice, we never talk about stories we are working on until we are ready to air them on Channel 7, or post them on WXYZ.com, so we won’t comment any more than to say:  Stay tuned to Channel 7 and WXYZ.com to see what the mayor and his people are so determined to hide that they will resort to physical force.

I don't even like to call him Mr. Mayor, he has an assaultive history with channel 7 reporter's.  He has verbally and physically pushed Steve Wilson, who in my opinion does an excellent job at reporting the news.  He assualted Ray Saah once, by physically taking the microphone and throwing it very hard across a room full of people.  He could of seriously injured an innocent bystander.  However, Mr. Kilpatick's attitude lacks bearing, integrity and in my humble opinion, he should step down before he embarrasses this City any further.  His behavior should be above reproach at all time.  He needs to remember that he is the Ambassador to our great City, not a Hip Hop "I am all that" and all that pervasive junk.  That's what happens when someone too young gets a taste of power and he certainly has misused that.  He needs to step down like a gentleman, not a bully!!! As he has shown us since taking office Take that Mr. Mayor!!!! Goodbye, Mr. Mayor!!!

I m sick to death of the prefrential  treatment of the Mayor.  If it were anyone "White"   who was breaking the law they would be in jail.  What is the delay?  I give Kim Worthy  a big hand but she is the only one I would applaud.  Let's get some people in here who stand by the law of the city.  I am tired of seeing nothing but "THUGS" ( mayor and associates) on the news night after night.  Friends of mine went to Ireland and they even knew about the City of Detroit and its wonderful Mayor Kilpatrick.  He makes me sick.  Ship him out of town!!!!!!

The Mayor keeps blaming the media and others for all his problems and I myself is getting really sick of watching him stand up and use the blame game! Mayor you have lied, cheated us the people who beleived in you. You have stole what is left of the city of detroit and the state of Michigan.  You have and are still using our tax money for your attorneys, as we continue to fall, you live in that mansion, and make more money then I will ever see,and yet its our taxes that is supporting your wrongfull actions. If you care about us as you say you do then just step down. the people are loosing their homes, the city is broke, and yet you still wont do the right thing. and to all you people that are saying that the mayor is a decent man, he has worked miricles(yeah right) thats way the city is going down so fast our heads are spinning. Give us a break.  But the up side!    now the Govenor can step in and take the mayor out.  We will all be able to breath a sigh of relief. KK YOU DID THIS YOURSELF STOP BLAMING EVERYONE ELES!!!!

Saturday August 9, 2008.  Steve Wilson, hopefully you have read today's Windsor Star. It appears that Kwame was in Niagara Falls, Canada just 2 days before meeting with the mayor of Windsor. If this is true and he did not get court permission to be out of the country, he obviously believes that he is above the law.

Could someone please explain, why does the mayor need bodyguards in the first place.  No other mayor in the country has one, why does he? Also when did the bodyguardship begin in Detroit.  Not to get off the subject!

I want to thank you Steve (would shake your hand if I could) for continuously doing your job no matter what. Something are umm.. leaders(?) forgot how to do (including Granholm, who's sitting on her hands with this Kwame stuff). The actions of Kwame are a big embarrassment to the State of Michigan as a whole. We need jobs in Michigan, not businesses leaving due to lack of leadership (City and State). How can they afford to not do their jobs while the rest of us get washed down the sewer? Oh wait, those are all plugged up as well even though 2/3 of our water bill goes toward sewage... hmm... Looks like another story!
