More equal opportunities will be available for our young black adolescents who are approaching adulthood. It gives them hope and belief, which ultimately generates determination and the momentum to strive to achieve greatness; these are crucial elements that must be maintained in order to reach their goals. Then what do you know? The same leader who swears that his passion and goal is to make “Great” changes and promises good things to come for our society and our community, goes and acts irresponsibly. As a result, instead of helping our movement and our missions in life get easier, you hurt us by making them harder! The next time people think about giving us an opportunity, their going to remember Kwame Kilpatrick and the irresponsibility that he performed but did not own up to. As well they’ll remember the lies and the deceit and it will definitely have an impact on the young African Americans trying to come up in this tough society. Don’t get me wrong, nobody is perfect! However, if you make mistakes be grown up enough to admit them, and own up to them.
