Women’s Commission for Oakland County

 Sets Date for

              the First Public Community Forum

Who:          Women’s Commission for Oakland County

What:            The Women’s Commission for Oakland County invites organizations and citizens to appear in an open forum and present a five-minute summary about  important issues that affect women in the county. 

The mission and focus of the Women’s Commission for Oakland County is charged with investigating and reporting on issues that affect women in Oakland County as well as recommend solutions to the Oakland County Board of Commissioners.  The Commission has identified the broad issue of Women’s Empowerment, with sub-issues of Economic Autonomy, Health and Wellness, Women’s Leadership, and Safety, as the focus of the work it will do in 2008.
