As a Detroit Police Officer who's been involved in Safety Patrol Camp as a counselor for the past 15 years with the Detroit Public Schools for kids between 9-13 years. This is the 63rd year of this program, giving children the opportunity to experience things in their lives (not normally experienced by inter-city kids) that will be cherished forever, such as boating, hiking, swimming, crafts, volleyball, camp fire, etc. These kids are selected from Safety Patrol to get promoted to Captain, who have the Junior Leadership skills in areas needed to assist other's.

This program is solely operated by private donation's and volunteers. With-out donations this program would fail. This program is held every year during the second week of June, just as school lets out. Please consider being a Corporate or Individual Sponsor's, so the Children of Today, will be Our Leaders of Tomorrow.
