Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disease that involves not only severe muscle weakness but also resultant complications such as difficulty in breathing, difficulty in chewing and swallowing, slurred speech, droopy eyelids and blurred or double vision. 

The Myasthenia Gravis Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of people with Myasthenia Gravis.  The Mission of the Myasthenia Gravis Association is to educate pantients to manage their MG through patient services, community outreach and research, while improving the quality of life of those affected by this neuromuscular disease.
