    Breaking News....

Kym Worthy has called a press conference for Monday at 11 am. She will then announce whether or not she will charge Kwame.

    Do the right thing Kym!!!

GREAT NEWS!! Can you just imagine the size of the legal bills if Kym decides to prosecute the KING KK??

That's why the city council needs to cut him loose now and make him pay for his own legal fees. What would Kwame do then? Ask for a legal aid attorney or have his minister friends pay?

    Arrest KING KK??

Any legal beagles on here?? If Kym does charge KING KK with perjury and/or obstruction of justice what happens next, does he get booked and have to post bail??

    Too many forums

Looks like were bouncing around again today. How many forums are open on the same basic subject today??

    Re: Too many forums

I was listening to wjr on 950am on the road this morning. They played a clip of something Sam Riddle had to say, "You know your city/any city is a reflection of your Mayor's accomplishments". Sounds like Detroit is in for a lot more trouble before the Mayor is done.

    Kwame going to jail

If he is charged, he will have to be booked. He will no doubt have the luxury of turning himself in and be booked as privately as possible. Don't expect the police going to pick him up the Manoogian and him in cuffs.

He no doubt will be given bail, released on his OR. I guess this will slow down those out of state trips :)

Re: Steve Wilson Investigation into the Mayor's Expenses and Private Jets

I feel as though if Steve Wilson doesnt investigate for the community then who will? When Kwame Kilpatrick was allected for mayor of detroit he was then our voice to be heard, made us feel as though he was by our side. Okay people make mistakes and we are human, but there comes a time when right is right and wrong is wrong. And when someone is wrong thats when they need to exposed and hopefully they learn from there mistakes. But if you have a person who is acting like they did nothing wrong and not having remorse for what they did, then there is where the problem begins. I sometimes even hate to consider him as my mayor, I wish he would just step down ans let some one else do the work(what he was really allected for). Its like he feels as though he doesnt have to explain anything to us.... but my thing is, if you knew you were wrong why not try your best to fix it instead of making everything seem all out of proportion. He's acting like everything can go back to normal, he cant take one round trips and not expect our tax payers to think how is he able to do that when we dont have food on our table to eat. Its because we have our so called mayor making us think that he using our tax money for the good but its really for the good of him and his family. Its a shame havent anyone talked about the Manogian Mansion accident. Everyone forgot the murder of someone mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece. Its like wow cant no body have any where abouts what happened to Mrs.Greene. It almost hurts me to see that someone is not looking into that, its like everything about her case has disappeared. Where does our tax money go, where is it being used for? Is the mayor really using part of our money to take private vacations with family and friends.

My brother practices out of state and I can use him as a resource.  He did comment that Kym Worthy's "surprise"comment re. public reaction was at the very least "unprofessional" .  I'm reasonably sure the perjury/obstruction of justice issues do not vary state to state.  I will look into it.

    PRESS RELEASE

Pentastar Aviation is a private aviation company owned by Mr. Edsel Ford and headquartered at the Oakland County International Airport in Waterford, Michigan.

Pentastar responds to the March 18, 2008 broadcast by WXYZ Channel 7 reporter Steve Wilson which was also published on the Channel 7 website. Mr. Wilson erroneously implied that Pentastar Aviation provided free air transportation to Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his family. That is untrue. The flight in question was arranged and paid for in advance with no discounts offered or given by Pentastar and/or Mr. Ford.  This flight was a sub-charter and not operated by Pentastar Aviation. The FAA does not require Part 135 flights to keep or disclose the names of its customers. Pentastar Aviation is in complete compliance with FAA regulations.

There are also several other statements made in the broadcast.  For example, Mr. Wilson stated that Mr. Ford “previously sought to operate at City Airport.”  That statement is true. Pentastar Aviation frequently makes flights to and from City Airport. Additionally, Mr. Wilson stated that Mr. Ford refused to comment on Mayor Kilpatrick’s air travel.  At no time prior to the broadcast and/or publication was Mr. Ford approached by either Channel 7 or Steve Wilson and given the opportunity to comment.

Re: Steve Wilson Investigation into the Mayor's Expenses and Private Jets

    KUDOS TO STEVE WILSON;
Congresswoman Kilpatrick stated after the whistleblower verdict that, " we will appeal no matter how much it cost"
The local media's efforts need to be continually commended because they have brought this story to us and all of the expenses are being itemized publically for us all, much to the disappointment of the Kilpatrick administration.  Everytime the mayor speaks he shows with media archived proof that he is talking out of both sides of his mouth.  Please kwame, just keep talking.  Keep telling the business community that they need you and the support of the Black Panthers and Farakhans nation of Islam ideals to move the City of Detroit forward.  Tell the Detroit city council that their vote for your resignation is meaningless,  and then tell Farakhans rep. to threaten the Detroit city council  with the "boomerang effect" that it will come back and hit them before they cast their vote.  All this already done and with more to come.  Do you really hope to achieve the martyrdom that true leaders have received from the past?  LapDancing leadership!  I don't think so.

Perjury charges do differ SLIGHTLY from state to state. Michigan is one of the toughest on perjury. In most other states AND in Federal Court, a lie told on the stand, while under oath, is only regarded as perjury if it is MATERIAL to the case. Here in MI, ANY lie told while under oath, whether it be material to the case at hand or not, can be tried as perjury.

As I said, it is only SLIGHT differences, nothing major.

He, like all celebs and big money ppl, will be allowed to turn himself in for booking at a "private" time. We wont get to see him doing the perp walk :(

    Re: Arrest KING KK??

Mr.Bluebird; I was wondering if you remember who wanted the word to best fit KK? Next time you speak to those Kobbleheads give them a little inside info on Their Detroit. Detroit was actually founded by the French/English. And my husband came up with the perfect word to fit those kobbleheads and KK,,, PARASITE.. Now if you want to display the definition to them thats fine too, but we all know that parasites feed off of others.
