I was shocked that the people fell for all of her bull while campaigning! She is just a women with filled with a bunch of bull!!!!! Look at our State(a one and only ressession) our young can't even find a job to support themselves. People are loosing their jobs to other states, our housing is so low! Then she will give a state of union and tell how our employment rate is up. Yah, right! To wages that are cut in half and we keep getting more taxes in different ways!

Michigan is doing great. Look at how many jobs Granholm has keep in Michigan and how she helps small businesses.
Time to cut the all Government wages and benefits in half, since half the state jobs and wages are gone.

If you think michigan is the only state in recession, you're sadly mistaken. What is happening in Michigan will spread throughout the nation if noone wants to help us fix it. Ever hear a saying, "a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link"?
People just wanna be quick to blame Granholm. She's in charge.. she is the easy person to blame. But, she's not the only person up there who can help effect change people. What about senate and house reps??? What about all these people taking wage increases and raises??? Maybe she needs to raise taxes to pay for that? I'm not saying there aren't some things that could be done differently.. but all of what's going on now isn't all just because of her and some cited situations.
What the problem here in michigan is... Our state for a long time has sat on the backs of both the auto industry and the cereal industries. Well, the auto industry is gonna start changing. Gas is very expensive. People are very concerned about Global Warming. Even if some of you arent, a lot are. Jobs have been going overseas for decades. I kid you not... every time i turn around, I'm hearing about someone moving to Georgia or Arizona for work.
What michigan NEEDS TO DO is to reinvent our economy. Maybe try to attract more of teh entertainment industry to do projects here. Things like the super bowl, the casinos, they all do help a lot... but, all these people who are being laid off from the big 3 need jobs that utilize their skills in another way.
If noone wants to help michigan fix it, you'd be a fool to think it won't spread across the country.

I never understood the tobacco tax. It keeps rising and rising to get money to pay for gov't programs. Granholm say's it's also to get smokers [of which I am not] to quit. When all smokers don't smoke anymore, where will she go for the money to keep paying for the programs????

The tobacco tax is just one more way to squeeze money from her "subjects". Jennifer is really just clueless. She supports Hillary, but does not realize that Hillary is responsible for NAFTA, which is what Jennifer says is responsible for our job losses. She was our attorney general, but was unaware of abuses going on in the foster child program, she supports law and order (as evidenced by the new state police building she ordered), but signed into law a bill saying that tranvestites are allowed to choose their own restroom in public places (UGH!), she has watched 1000's of jobs leave our state, but will not cut expenses rather than raising taxes. And yet people think DeVos could have done any worse for the state??????It's like saying that Freman Hendrix could have been worse than Kwame Kilpatrick!!!!!!!

I would like to know what has she done since she's been in office? Can anyone tell me? All I hear her do is talk about what she would like to do and it sounds good. But did she do anything in eight years to make the people of the state of Michigan feel good about any progress the State has made under her administration?

I have been writing down on paper their previos patterns of behavior and then I have them notarized so the date is isolated in time-then what I wrote they do a week later literally at the plase I wrote on the notarization and I tape it as it's happining.The Ann Arbor Police/the FBI and the Dearborn Police in hope's of containing me and this crimminal act are trying real hard as I go about my daily routine's to get ahold of me thru staged theater's of event's so they can alter the audio's and denie the incident's ever took place as a result.They attempted another staged event in the past hour at a Public Library I frequent..I can not mention which one because I brought the event to a library security gaurd " mattention to get him on tape which I did" he positioned himself right behind me right in veiw of teh perpetrator's waiting for the incident to unfold-It's a city Library" i..e the security Guard being a city employee"it was a arranged event to get me suked into a altercation by a black woman who started messing with me within 2 minutes of me walking in the library whicj I also have on tape this woman then followed me upstair's thru computer survallance they see when Im logging out that's when the security gaurd was text messaged to appear that's when she positioned herself and waited until I got my print job and literaly stood and waited for me to approach the steps to leave then she started walking-I walked fast by the time I got to the first floor withing 5 secound's her and the security gaurd came down the stair's together and they both looked pissed-then the girl puprosely walked all the way around me which was the opposite route to wheir she was goin the bathroom they thought they'd try the event downstair's.
I complained to the security gaurd and left.1/2 hour later another one came up to me and tryed to get my attention at the Post Office,weir I inquired about some missing evedence I mailed to myself on the 7'th of this month along with another letter/1 letter got their the physical evedience has'nt.
The looking for reason's to alter the tape's I have before I find a attorney to give them to/thru them monitoring my internet activity's which I can prove thru a reporter I emailed and they pretended to reply in his stead pretending to be him so I'd feel discourged,and quit my effort's of bring this to the public's attention/if they get ahold of these tape's they will alter them in since Feburary they since January they have altered 2 tape's then stole them were I hide them at The University of Michigan.They are all over me big time/and will not stop until Im Probably dead, as a mean's of stopping this from becoming public. So I will say this here to you today Michigan Tax Payer's I emailed the Govenor/I emailed and sent 3 certified letter's to Ms Worthy/I went to the FBI/for the help I deserved in this situation/in turn I wont say it here but as a result of what Im still experiencing EVERYSINGLE DAY,I suspect they are aiding and abedding in their only agenda here to keep what happened from surfacing not only to protect Dearborn and the State's image but because a Postal Employee was involved.
They are doing everything to discredit me including petioning and given me deliberate total bull___ diagnosis whic another doctor called total Bull___ and know that their method's are'nt working and the fact that Im writing these blogs sending email's to the ACLU-Ms Moss-and looking for a attorney they are all over me.
I dont want to be another Ms Green But a person has to be able to live and breath and be free and all their doing is destroying what's left of my life by trying to contain this situation.

You know I could have picked any disgruntled Republican response. I only picked your's because it was the most recent. So when you blow your smoke back remember this is not personal. Any State Government is dependant upon a lot of factors being in their favor in order for them to work. The cabinet surrounding them, the amount of Democrats to Republicans in each Legislative bodies, the sheer population in the State, and there are so many other factors that play an important part of how things get done while a Governor serves their term.
And by all accounts many of you who are experiencing this, I want to whine about the situation. Weren't saying very much when Engler was weilding the sickle. Let's remember one thing that is very important. Every politician that takes office for the first time inherits a lot of policy from the previous administration. So more times than not, the new party has to cut thru the old's leftover problems that got them ousted. So not only do they have to understand what is going on, they have to try and do quick fixes while still being able to move forward. And that is a very difficult thing to do.
The big picture, all of you have eluded to it at one point, or the other. The population of the State has declined significantly since she has been in office. And that it not her fault. If Big Business decides that they can get a better deal in another State tax wise it is not her fault. Those plans are decisive, and calculated by them. Granholm has no way to anticipate what ANY manufacturer of anything will do if the economy shifts. The only difference between now and 40 years ago. At least Nixon kept everybody working. While we experienced all the various shortages (Gas Included) to get prices where it was easy for the rich to stay rich.
Those of you who can remember. Gas, beef, sugar, coffee, and don't forget just about everything gave you Cancer. So before you continue this onslaught of doing it just because things are finally uncomfortable for YOU, let it go. To all the people who re-financed their homes when they were almost paid for, that's your fault you didn't read the fine print on the contract BEFORE you cashed the big print on the check. It's not anyone's fault if your must haves are a cottage up North, with a boat, a brand new car, (for you and the wife) and your debt continues because you don't know how to manage your money.
Everybody has a price to pay for not being smart. I'll put it that way because I do get caught up sometimes, and calling people out of their names isn't going to solve anything. Instead of wasting the time belly aching, come up with solutions. It's time we decide to take responsibilty for what we can control, and network accordingly. I am sure if we have learned anything by now that we are all in this together whether we like it or not. Michigander, or Michigainian when you get right down to it those of us who are committed to stay here should be willing to put differences aside to come up with the formula necessary to make this the great State that it is.

Michigan is losing population because there are no jobs and there are no jobs because our governor has not brough any to Michigan. The only jobs she provides is work crews on our highways paid for with our money. More goverrnment jobs of course which does nothing for the Michigan economy except get votes for her special interest packages. Think about it for a minute what does the goverrnment produce! Nothing, yet it spends like a drunkin sailor. Cause its not their money and they can give themselves raises, pension plans better then any in the private sector.
If our job rate is the highest in the country and it is, why aren't we laying off government employees in at the same rate??????
PS. Its the wild West in Detroit and our governor won't do a thing about gertting rid of that crazy running wild in the city. Don't want to lose those votes do we. Forget the party system, its them against the tax payers..........I'd like to move, but where else can you get these kind of soaps.

I agree, but I am afraid we are in the minority. Jennifer won't do anything about Detroit because she really does not care about Detroit, and she is too clueless to realize the effect it is having on the rest of southeast Michigan. She is a politician, and all she wanted from Detroit was to be re-elected. Who knows why, as she should be able to realize how little she knows about running the state. And when she is ready to move on, she will work very hard to get someone just like her in the
Gov. office. And in 10 years, they will all be blaming Engler!

Well we got our power back after a 4 days . Where has Jennifer been while traffic lights have been out, nursing homes have had no power, and people who have wells have had no water. 4 days without power seems excessive, since it was only a storm that did the damage-not a tornado,flood or hurricane.

I am not a smoker, but some people find it enjoyable. It irked me about the high taxes on cig's so I wrote to Senator Debbie Stabenaw and she replied that she is all for the taxes and more if necessary. Government is in our livingrooms, cars, restaurants and now they want to choose be our insurance provider.
