Kailea:There is a lot of things and people wrong in the City of Detroit, I think we have picked on Kilpatrick long enough, he is young and bound to make some mistakes. But he has done a lot for the City! Stop picking on him we did vote him to the office so let it play out. This last did he break his bond , I watched the hearing on T.V. and she clearly said she would not order him not to speak to his family, it is a very sad day when a son can not visit with his mother, unless his mother calls the family members and tells them they have to stay away. I am a white 75 year old mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and I would never want to have to tell one of mine you can't visit because this one is here, get real what is he going to say to his sister that could effect the case after all she is his sister and chaseing Mayor Kilpatrick around every where he goes is a bit unfair. We have to endure all this talk because some one else wants to be Mayor, but was did not run for the office because they did not think they could WIN. If Mayor Kilpatrick was my son we would have a good talk, on I raised you to think before you speak, or act but he is not as bad as the news trys to make him out, Don't think a man should cheat on his wife ------but then thats for his wife to deal with---Hilary did just fine, and Edward wife got on with it, why do we in the City of Detroit think we have to make such a big deal and punish him isn't this up to his wife alone?
Though I do respect your years on this planet, I must say you are mislead regarding "keeping people away from their families". This is not a unique situation in any way. Consider, for example, the husband/father who has run afoul of the law by having a heated argument with his wife. He need not physically assault her to be arrested, and once this has occurred (even as a misdemeanor) he is typically ordered to have no contact with the wife and is not allowed to live in the home until the case is resolved. This can occur even if the wife does NOT want the charges prosecuted. If the municipality wants to prosecute, she has no say in the matter. So, what is so unusual about this situation with Kwame, especially considering the nature of the case (felony assault)? Joe Six-Pack would not be treated differently.
