I don't know if anyone else saw Ms. Conyers' outburst earlier this afternoon.  Like I've said before - there is definately something going on between Ms. Conyers and the Mayor.  Somehow, she owes him big!!!  He must've done something for her in the past and she owes him or he knows something from her past and is holding it over her head.  Her outburst at the City Council Hearings is unexcuseable!!!   It's akin to a female high school bully trying to get her point or opinion heard by screaming, yelling and intimidation through name-calling.

There is no room on City Council for someone as irresponsible and childish as her.  She needs to be removed from City Council.  And, she herself, needs to be investigated.   I have long thought that there was something not right with her and her actions beginning with her being the only member to vote against the text messages being released.  And yesterday saying that Mr. Stefani "blackmailed" the Mayor and his lawyers.  And now with her outburst at the Hearings!!!  Shrek-Shrek!!!  That's what she called Mr. Cockrell.  My goodness - a City Council member acting like that and for no other reason except that she was asked not to interupt someone else as she herself not a few minutes before asked not to be interrupted.  Lady - you're the one that needs to "grow-up".

I really must agree with you. I have never been ashamed to say I am from Detroit , but that has changed after all that has been said and done. The world must think we are all just like them. These people work for us and represent all of us ( what a shame) . The city was already going down with the Mayor and his THUGS!!!!!!   I think from now on I will just tell people I am from the Midwest at leave it at that. Shame on all of you !!!!!    Please show some CLASS when you know there are cameras...

Monica was just interviewed on Channel 4...her explanation was a bit indirect, commenting on things that had led up to the altercation, and explaining that she was trying to represent the people of Detroit.  After watching a clip of the "fiasco", she smiled,and then told Carmen that it was time for the media to begin loving the city and that public response would depend on "how this altercation was depicted in the media"....Huh???????? she doesn't GET IT!

I remember when this happened.  The victim was on the radio and television.  It turned out she had to drop the case because the incident happened in Detroit, and she could not get ANY attorney who practised law in Detroit to take her case.  She said they all told her that if they did, it would be their last case in Detroit.

Obviously your memory isn't so great, look up their positions or the positions they once held.  As to the trips it wasn't a conference just for Kwame/Detroit, it was a Convention for all Cities.  As far as travel, well maybe if he was like Bush and could travel in his best friend jet that bambozzled all those folks at Enron maybe that wouldn't be an issue.  Tell me, how did you feel when Bush continued with his Party after 911, spending Millions on that for what ? As Far as George Bush, again, we may not like what he has done/is doing, he has BROKE no LAWS, if he had, there would be ppl from everywhere trying to get him out of office.

KK has been charged with 8 FELONY counts. This is a LOT more than him sleeping with CB, but you refuse to open your eyes and see that.

Monica and the Emperor both seem to be suffering from a "power surge" . 

There is a new sense of "I'm in charge" in his interview on construction contracts, with a smile on his face and a congenial, definitive  manner; he also had  a"serious countenance in the court today".   Amazing what a good day in court can do to the "spirit of Detroit"! 

If Monica is Carman Slowsky, then I think Carlita has met her match.  If Monica has decided to "move down" to Kwame, Carlita is toast.

Also if Monica is Carman Slowsky, I would be ashamed if I were Kwame and that was the best that I could do.  No wonder he is trying so hard to hide the tapes!

The communities nearby Detroit and Wayne County are not prospering either  ( except maybe the Pointes) , the stench of this mayor is carrying over.   Just wait till Steve Wilson , the other media have dug up some more dirt. There is plenty out there. As for other corrupt politicians, that goes on all the time. And they get caught, voted out, jailed and tossed. As for alcoholism , that is a disease. Some may argue a genetic predisposition . Making fun of people with a disease and that have sought help is not very nice. But then you want to confuse the facts, play games , and ignore what has happened with KK's corrupt and disgusting administration. The trips did take place, the over spending , over indulging , acting like the Royal Family, are all on Kwame. Archer acted with class and dignity. Kwame has turned the mayor's mansion into a barricaded fortress. Moveon you are definately living in a fantasy world with your half truths and misrepresentations. Or trying to save your little job cleaning windows in the mayors office.

It's quite clear that apparently the Kwame camp has something on Monica Conyers that she does not want exposed. Her actions from day one have been very sabotaging. And she apparently has a lot of pressure on her too sabotage these investigations. I'm very sure we will witness the unraveling of Monica Conyers in the days to come as she gropes in the dark to figure out how she is going to pull this off.
