You are absolutely right!  I would like to know too, who is still dealing with corrupt Kwame?!?

My dollars will not be used to support any business who supports Kwame!

I hope Kym Worthy does the right thing, since her seat is up for re-election!

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

mayor Kwame "con man" kilpatrick has used the city of Detroit as his own bank, he is under the impression that we the citizens work for him. he has embarrassed the city with his antics and behavor and his administration must come to an end before he breaks the city. in his speech (state of the city) he spoke proudly of his accomplishments; sadly his evil deeds out-weigh any of those in which he boosted about.

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

It's about time that Council does something for WE the PEOPLE of Detroit. I don't believe Martha Reeves was sick. I sincerely hope come election time Monica Conyers is remembered as the one person who voted against what was right for Detroit. Kwame Kilpatrick is a notorious LIAR/ THIEF/ CHEATER all wrapped up in one. He had many chances to get it right but he chose to rob and rape the citizens of Detroit and then blame others for his misdeeds / indiscretions. He and his mistress Christine Beatty destroyed innocent men lives to try and hide their love affair by costing tax payers 8.4 million plus dollars when it could have been used for basic everyday city services which we're without as a result of his escapades. I'll be happy when he's finally kicked out of office since he doesn't have enough sense to resign. What a total DISGRACE he is. THANK YOU to all of the media outlets that brought this scandal to light and continue to do so for we would still be in the dark.

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

It's a shame that a mayor of a large city has to associate himself with the likes of the black panther group Malik Alshabaaz (spelling?) or the like Farrahkah followers which are redical groups. This says plenty for this mayor. He is just as corrupt as the company that he keeps.

He must give the people of Detroit a break so they can start repairing the ity from this corruption.

    JUST GO

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

I went back and read the article about the Detroit Ren meeting this morning.  20 people are reported to have shown up.  No one wants to say who they are.  There are 57 (if I can count correctly) on the board.  There probably wasn't 20 people there....KK and the pres of Detroit Ren probably rounded the number up.

The fact that no one wants to man up that they were there; the fact that they don't want to talk about what was really discussed; the fact that they are getting asked who was there and what was talked about and they say it was agreed on that they weren't going to talk about it...that says these people are either ashamed to be there or just as much of a scumbag as the mayor.

As I said before, you are judged by the company you keep!

Make the people who still deal with the mayor pay for it.  BOYCOTT any company that still meets with the mayor.

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

It is exactly what the council should have done. Unfortunately his (KK) arrogance and self-serving mentality is like a cancer that won't go away. So sad for the "Renaissance City"  YES he should resign!

City Council was absolutely correct in their resolution (other than the one nay-sayer who seems to be just a fan...)

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

It's time to put the great citizens of Detroit out of their misery.  The City Council clearly cares about the citizens of Detroit and knows that currently, the city is going nowhere.  Jennifer Granholm needs to step up and use her power to remove him from public office.

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

Mayor Kilpatrick has caused enough embarassment to the residents, leaders, and the companys of Detroit.  He needs to get out of office, step down, and enable the city as a whole to successfully rebuild itself. everyone has lost there trust in the mayor it's time to say goodbye.
