I HAVE HEARD "THE HIGHER A MONKEY CLIMBS, THE MORE HE SHOWS HIS A-- (BEHIND) AND KWAME HAS DEFINETLY SHOWED HIS!   HE SEEMS TO LOVE ATTENTION WHETHER IT IS NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE.  HIS NARCISTIC ATTITUDE OVERSHADOWS LOGIC, REASON OR COMMON SENSE.  HE THRIVES ON HIMSELF IN A SOCIOPATH'S STATE OF MIND.  WHEN HE WAKES UP IN HIS ORANGE JUMPSUIT AND SILVER BRACELETS ON HIS WRISTS, HE WILL STILL BE SMILING AND GRINNING.  HE'S A LITTLE BOY IN A MAN'S BODY, WHO IS A BULLEY, THAT HIS MAMA IS STILL DEFENDING HIM EVEN IN HIS WRONG.  HE SITS IN COURT SHAKING HIS HEAD AS IF TO LET THE PUBLIC KNOW "THEY ARE LYING".  WE KNOW THE TRUTH IN SPITE OF HIS BODY LANGUAGE.  HE IS A "SELF-CREATED" MONSTER.  IN THE CROSS-BAR HOTEL WHEN THEY SHUT THE BARS THEY WILL SAY 'BEND OVER SISTER BIG STUFF".

    Hellokitty

    You are so right

I did love the piece on WDIV showing his body language.  I kind of thought he was putting on an act.  But the court did take him down a peg.  Could have been harsher but at least they did something.

When Kwame and the Kilpatricknites are seen on the Channels, local and across the nation, don't believe Kwame when he tells you that he's taping a movie for reality television.  Some of you will believe him and try to rent the movie.  It will be reality with a sad ending for those that thought he was telling the truth .  The lawyers will be rich, Detroit will be broke,  KK and the Kilpatricknites will be taken off the scene for ever. As the curtain comes down, the song by the late great Sam Cooke will be playing -- A CHANGE IS GOING TO COME!           THE END

I don't believe this young man should resign or get fired. Has any other mayor resigned?  Has any of our perfect presidents resigned? Uh!  Mayor Kilpatrick got more publicity than president clinton when monica did what she did to president clinton and more publicity than president bush after he stole the presidency.  We should leave this man alone.  I dont understand this.  The only other man that got this much publicity was OJ Simpson.  Think about it.  Wake up people.  What did Jesus ask the people when they wanted to stone the adultress woman? Those that are without sin cast the first stone. How quickly we forget ummmm.  Do we have any politicians that are perfect?

This is a perfect example of Detroit Logic. Jusify absurd and illegal behavior by one of Detroit's own by citing someone, somewhere in the US that they think got away with something. Here's how it goes, Bush stole the Presidency according to this writer, so leave  Kwame alone. Great logic!!  Or how about the thread of Jesus said 'those without sin cast the first stone', so that means leave Kwame alone, since everybody sins. Great Logic!. No sense in this writers logic for the massive economic damage being done by this lingering Kwame induced disaster, the investments companies don't make, the jobs being lost, the cops being maligned by this or the families affected...just you know, leave Kwame alone. This is why Detroit will never succeed, citizens refuse to be outraged and hold accountable their own...a communal, self-destructive behavioral problem. Detroit is going down the tubes with Kwame trying to blame, you know, white people for his own mess. Great Detroit Logic. Always and I mean always blame someone else in Michigan or the US for their problems. Never admit the truth...

Let me see......there was Nixon, Spiro Agnew, Spitzer recently........do we really need to fill in all of them??  And to think, none of them ever cost a city, such a small populace compared to states or countries, the millions of dollars Kwame cost Detroit.  Pretty sure none of them ever assaulted an officer of the law either.  Nixon did some really nasty stuff, granted, but Kwame is trying to make Nixon look like a choirboy.

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

The Mayor will never resign because he won't be getting a paycheck, plus, he probably realizes that no one will hire him for any kind of job due to the mess he's in. Therefore, his wife will probably divorce him.

To fbrougham out of 7806 responses the one and only one that sticks in your craw is the one and only post of someone who voiced THEIR opinion. Which is what we in the Forum regular is called a Drive-by Post. A one time visitor to start a bevy of controversy of the worthless variety. The post was done May 28, 2008. You wait 60 days to reply, get real would ya'.

Then you begin to assume that people who "Actually live in Detroit" believe that dribble. Or for you is it easier to character assasinate than to do a little research on the post you choose to dissect?? Just like you anyone is entitled to their own opinion. Whether it is fact, or fiction if someone believes it they are entitled to their own personal thoughts. That is why many of us in this very Forum can agree to disagree, and keep it civil. But if you choose to fall prey to such nonsense, that is YOUR choosing all on your own.

As for you reverend G, I would have posted my response for you. But for some strange reason I feel it will fall on deaf ears. Because the majority of your posts are very derogatory in nature. The tone in reference to Kilpatrick is very unbecoming. But in many respects you are no different than many of us. Yes and I did say "US" the very thought that we as a City have to be defined as the leadership that governs a City is very appalling. And Kilpatrick starting with his "Urban Legend" Birthday Party in 2002 to the incident just last week is absolutely reprehensible.

And we who live in this City will live through it. Those who won't will move, and then criticize from afar. Either way it goes the only print that is really going to matter in these days ahead will be coming from the Judges who preside over Kilpatrick's cases. Just remember all it takes is ONE guilty verdict. All the rest of who, what, why, when, or where is definitely up to the Courts. But I know the ever popular Poll Of Public Opinion will reign supreme in tossing about a wothless opinion here or there. But rest assured the final say so will come from the Courts not any of "US".

If you feel that opposing those that condone the mayor's outlandish, illegal, and detrimental (to the city, state, and others) behavior is derogatory, then I guess I am guilty as charged.  I hope you feel better now, you finally found someone willing to accept the blame for their actions.

I agree with whatif2k8.For anyone to defend Kwami , it makes them look like an ignorant fool. You know that any ordinary Joe would have been in jail for the things that he has done.                                             If Kilpatrick really cared about the city of Detroit,he would step down. The city of Detroit has become a laughing stock to the rest of our nation . If you think the city hasn't lost money because of all the scandal, think again.

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

Only in Detroit and only the Mayor could be charged with all those felony counts and not be given about a million dollar bond, no he smiles signs his name and is free to go. Only in Detroit can the Mayor manhandle an officer of the court and then have people debate if they should charge him or not, you or I would be in jail with out a blink of the eye !Now he has a $75,000 bond, that's nothing for the counts against him, when are they going to treat him like you and me ? He is just a man and he messed up and should be paying the bill the same as you and me. The Mayor yells racist all the time, but the black women with the policeman he manhandled, said the Mayor made racial remarks, I don't see anyone going on the record for the white man or can't that happen in Detroit? I'm not racist, but I'm tired of people using the race card every time something doesn't go their way. It didn't go wrong because of your color it went wrong because you got caught!

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

I don't think it's fair for any Judge in the 36th Dist. to hear the case against the Mayor, they all know him, and are either his friend's, have given money to his campaign or him to their's. A Judge for some where else in the State should here the case. What is the Judge' that turned down the prosecutor's request, ties to the Mayor ? You can bet there is one! They need to get all the bad seed's out of office and it isn't just the Mayor!
