blublls:If he were white he would of been kicked out of office 9 months ago. This is discimination at its best. Detroit voted him in again after all the free spending of city funds for his own personal entourage in his first term so deal with it.You wanted him you got him.
I just want to address your last sentence. "You wanted him you got him." I in no way shape or form am speaking for any one but myself. I did not vote for him for his first term. I was well aware of his complacence when he was a State Representative. I did not like the relationship he had with Beatty then. And as we see now that came back to haunt him right out of office.
Many of the things that he tried to take credit for in his first term were actually residual affects from the Archer administration. Just like whoever takes over will finish some of what Kilpatrick started. As for his second term. It came down to Freeman Hendricks (Archer's former Deputy Mayor) or Kilpatrick. Since he was already in, I chose him over Hendricks. Only because I never voted for Archer either.
Detroit will survive, it has had it's share of controversy with many of our elected officials over the years. And as it stands for now the current time will be no different. But you have every right to your opinion to what is going on. And I don't want you to feel this is an attack on you. But the citizens of this City will make the deciding of how this City will ultimately be seen by the rest of the world. The action of one is easily forgotten over time. Mike Cox, Geofrey Feiger, even L. Brooks Patterson has had their share of troubles since the year 2000. And no one speaks of it. So Kilpatrick is just another politician who will eventually be convicted of his crimes and sentenced.
