Doodles, I hope you have success in battling your illness.  Had a few myself this year. As for posters being rude, it goes with the territory. A couple of them here refuse to quote me or eliminate my replies in threads. Oh well, can't please everybody and I don't try. I appreciate most of the others here.

RV.....I'll talk to ya........lol. I have always appreciated your posts, I think I have agreed with most of them too!

Thanks. I enjoy this forum because most of us are decent people. The WXYZ regular news section has some real dillies. Who is Grandma HEHE ? Cracks me up.
There are some real doozies over on wdiv.  Not dipping my toes over there.  Too vicious.  I will stay here where it is safe.

I saw on one stations blog where there was a fierce disscussion about a poster being crazy I assume, and knew another posters true identity. And I guess there was quite a thing going on. Geeesss.....that is about the time I would take my puter to the curb. Scarey stuff.

    Love it Miamia!

Did everybody see Tantra commenting on KK?  And Oldsoul (Gene's bro in law)?  Do like to see the oldies pop in.

KK is just in a heap, what goes around.

    Here's an intersting story:

PHOENIX (Nov. 2) - A young Iraqi woman whose father allegedly hit her with his car because she had become too Westernized died from her injuries Monday after laying in a coma for nearly two weeks. from AOL.com

He's in America, if these types don't like it get out!  We go to Iraq and help them, they hate us.  They come here to our country, they hate us.  I don't get it.  Ship them back.

Kimberly.....I looked but couldn't find the right article. I guess it is the time of year, or the moon, but there have been ghosts around lately.  Check out the search on the top of the forum page and look at  some oldies profiles, amazing when they last checked the forum.

yep saw the post.  was going to mention it but didn't want to open a can of worms.  Tantra is multiple posters and continues to post here as well.  There is more freedom to really go way off posting on the other sites.  Harder to figure it out who is who over there.

Get Real...... Yeah I've felt the presence of ghosts too.  Have for awhile.  I know it's been said that  you  "can't take your money with you",  but what about laptaps???

Not that hard to figure things out on some posters.  You just have to pay attention to the little mistakes they unknowingly make.  "Oh what webs we weave, when first we try to deceive."

Doodles, your so right about that!!!!!  Dropping out or leaving is one thing, but to upset so many people is quite another, especially when it is un-necessary.....that would be downright cruel. If you can take your laptop with you, I wonder about our big screens.....???  WOW....just mention a name and the ghosts seem to appear!

I am loster than a small ball in tall weeds.

what is all this about? ghosts?  I tried to follow but well I understand what I posted but Iraqi laptops?  i am sure it will click later

how can someone be dead and checking in on this site on 10/10/09. spooky.  right before halloween. eerie.  i guess ghost have access to computers.

Good luck Doodles, I know all about the many Dr. appt./scans.  I have a few left myself like in a 1/2 hr. , you're still in our prayers.

Yes Bernard and I'm still shocked KK is still getting away w/ so much.  For Pete's sake end the misery/tax dollars and just give him the 1 2 punch.  I'm not sure about Groner.  We need to put the pressure cooker on him.  If he still doesn't do anything then we all should protest and have him accountable for this mess too.

I can't change my name or even my password, I wouldn't remember and don't even remember what I did yesterday.  Way too much work/drama.

HaHa remember what you did yesterday,,,,,, I have to read all the post before I reply because I don't remember if I did reply.

cable news announced last night that some ethics committee and the FBI were investigating approximately 6 african americans and sharpton was asked if he felt it was racist.  he didn't feel it was but felt outside groups were putting pressure on this committee to move forward with the investigation.  kk mom and waters were two.  can't remember the other names.

    YAY for the jobless recovery!

    http://detnews.com/article/20091106/BIZ/911060403/1001/U.S.-jobless-rate-tops-10--for-first-time-since--83

The above is an article from the Detroit News talking about how official unemployment topped 10% for the first time since 1983. Of course they always have to put a "positive" spin on things by saying that the temporary jobs increased which is supposedly a good sign. Why does the corporate media feel so compelled to find kernals of corn in every turd?

Re: YAY for the jobless recovery!

Just in case you are having a rough day, here is a stress management technique
recommended in all the latest psychological journals.
The funny thing is that it really does work, it will make you smile.....

    1. Picture yourself lying on your belly on a warm rock that hangs out over a crystal clear stream.

    2. Picture yourself with both your hands dangling in the cool running water.

    3. Birds are sweetly singing in the cool mountain air.

    4. No one knows your secret place.

    5. You are in total seclusion from that hectic place called the world.

    6. The soothing sound of a gentle water fall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.

    7. The water is so crystal clear that you can easily make out the face of the person you are holding underwater.

There!!  See?  It really does work.   You're smiling already.
Feel free to forward this if you know others who might benefit from this technique.
    (Sometimes timing is everything).

Re: YAY for the jobless recovery!

The comments were taken off actual police car videos around the country:

16 'You know, stop lights don't come any redder
than the one you just went through.'

    15.  'Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they're new.
They'll stretch after you wear them a while.'

    14.  'If you take your hands off the car,
I'll make your birth certificate a worthless document.'

    13.  'If you run, you'll only go to jail tired.'
    12.  'Can you run faster than 1200 feet per second?
Because that's the speed of the bullet that'll be chasing you.'

    11.  'You don't know how fast you were going?
I guess that means I can write anything I want to on the ticket, huh?'

    10.  'Yes, sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don't think it
will help. Oh, did I mention that I'm the shift supervisor?'

    9.  'Warning! You want a warning?
O.K, I'm warning you not to do that again or I'll give you another ticket. '

    8.  'The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk
or not.   Was Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?'

    7.  'Fair? You want me to be fair? Listen, fair is a place where you go to
ride on rides, eat cotton candy and corn dogs and step in monkey poop.'

    6.  'Yeah, we have a quota..
Two more tickets and my wife gets a toaster oven.'

    5.  'In God we trust, all others we run through NCIC.'

    4.  'How big were those 'two beers' you say you had?'

    3.  'No sir, we don't have quotas anymore. We used to,
but now we're allowed to write as many tickets as we can.'

    2.  'I'm glad to hear that the Chief (of Police) is a personal friend of
yours.   So you know someone who can post your bail.'

    AND THE WINNER IS....

    1.  'You didn't think we give pretty women tickets?  You're right, we don't.
    Sign here.'

Because that's the kind of stuff (wanted to use another word) they get people to believe. And really how can increase in temp jobs be a good sign?  Just because someone has an income (probably minimun wage at that) doesn't mean it's a good sign.

I heard this in ads this morn and thought good for you Steve, go after the money.  If we could see the oddity of money moving the news media has to pick up on it.  I would have to believe Steve was looking into this for the last week, then Kwame's lawyer (Schwartz) comes out and say's the prosecutor was off by $400,000 because "The document inaccurately reports accumulated multiple entries for the same sums that moved from one account to another, Schwartz said." (Quote from Freep artice 11 04 09 ) Do you think Schwartz was trying to put his spin out there because Steve had been questioning the money trail?

I can't wait for Steve Wilson's report either. Steve came here in 2000 or 2001. What great luck for the city of Detroit that we got such a fine investigative reporter just as the star of Kwame was on the rise. lol Say what you will about Karma but you gotta love it!
