The University OF Michigan Medical Center is only concern about making money, not patient care, this is nothing compare to other things that they do to the workers and patients, at least the Doctors are Medical Doctors that are listed. Alot of the patient care is done by a nurse or a resident doctor, it is difficult to see a staff doctor at the University of Michigan, even in the Emergency Room. When I told that I had co-workers sleeping and snoring in the ears of Medical Staff and Patients after working for the University of michigan for over 17 years, I was told I made the department look bad and soon later, I was fired and the only reason that I was given was I talked to loud to the Director of the department Marilyn Lanzon in a meeting and 5 days later, I was taken out by the university police. I was told I had no proof by the top administrator Laurita Thomas and when I gave a example of a few different patient that almost died still nothing was done. Later Ms. Thomas & Ms. Lanzon was promoted with a big raise and the president or other administrators would not even write me back or take my phone calls. The supervisor Stacey Johnson told me that I would be sorry for making the department look bad that every one would sleep during work time even she would sleep during the work time, well she was even protmoted with a big raise. I just did not think she could have me fired for thinking about the patient care. This person can not even speak correct english and has no Education. So if they are pediatricians at least they are Educated and are Doctors. Part of my job was to be the Answering service for the Medical Center after 5 and the on call Doctors were residents or a nurse, not a a staff Doctor, we were told to never call the patients doctor only a resident doctor.
