Re: Granholm is a Baby Killer

Yesterday, Gov. Grandholm said she would veto a bill that would ban late term partial birth abortion.  She wants to allow doctor's to crush the baby's skull before it is born. Grandholm is bad new for everyone in this state.  Please see link.

    smorgan:

Governor Granholm's job approval rating is the lowest it has ever been, a new poll shows.

In the survey of 600 likely voters, 66 percent gave the Democratic governor a negative job rating. Her previous low mark was a 59 percent negative rating in November, when she easily won re-election for a second term.

The poll was conducted by EPIC-MRA of Lansing for WXYZ and The Detroit News. It had a sampling error margin of plus or minus four percentage points.

Poll respondents said they still like the governor.

Fifty-two percent gave her an overall favorable rating, compared with 42 percent unfavorable.

What do you think? Is the governor doing a good job? Do you have any suggestions of how she can improve?

I can only suggest minor plastic surgery to remove that mole....that would be an improvement....aside from that...she's doing a good job.  The jobless rate in this state is not just a result of our state economy but the nation as a whole.  She can only do so much on her own to help fix it.

I thought it was funny as could be that she was BOO'ed at the Obama rally.  Just shows what the people of Detroit, and MICHIGAN think of what she has done to help the situation in Detroit

"Since George Bush became president, Michigan has lost 400,000 manufacturing jobs" JG
Now is it Jennifers fault that all the Manufacturing jobs left MI?
I think she is doing the best she can, with what little there is to work with in the State budget...
    Peace...

I still can't understand how Granholm got re-elected! Granholm does not know what she's doing, that's obvious and it was obvious before she was re-elected. Are those who re-elected her embarrased now? I certainly hope so.

Early term abortion is one thing..."crushing a viable baby skull" is another??? Who does this? What doctor does this? I cannot imagine there are doctors out there that would do such a horrible thing!!!

Before everyone becomes outraged...I say...look for the Doctor that will carry out what some "politicians" say is OKAY!!!! I cannot imagine doctors waiting in line to kill 2nd term babies!!!!!!

Re: Granholm is a Baby Killer

This makes me truly sick if she did support "partial birth abortion"

She is no Catholic- she is a total embarassment to Catholics- yet the archdiocese lets her do this and remain Catholic?

She is no Catholic- I wish the "politicians" of the church would see her and not her "position"!!!

She's okay? willing to support abortion that kills a "viable" baby? The Catholic church had better watch themselves on who they determine should obtain "anullments" etc....She's okay- and violates the teachings!!! If she can advocate "killing"  Then I can certainly say to all Catholics - "divorce" without shame!!!!!(At least we're not killing our "ex-spouses")!

This is so disgusting...for the government and the Catholic church!!!!- How dare you tell someone what to do...when the church ignores..."THOUGH SHALT NOT KILL" just because Jen's a "Gutless Wonder"!!!!

I swear on my eyes that Jen will never help or do anything to move Michigan forward!!! She does what suits her "party and her own political career"!!!!!

    Wake up Michigan!!!!!!!

When I saw the "million dollar groupees" talking about how they are filming here "dirt cheap" ??? I wanted to scream!!!!

Granholm's  "Initiative" gives Clint Eastwood major tax breaks on a multi-million dollar sale???? What does it do for the poor guy laid off from GM?????Chrystler????? or Ford??????

Yep, those guys- who have lived in Michigan all of their lives...are losing their homes and moving out of state!!!! -Clint comes in and films for $$$$$"s cheaper than California!!!!

Though I am by no means an abortion advocate, I think this "she is no Catholic" attitude because of the abortion issue is terribly wrong.  The last time I checked, any political representative is not in office to do what THEY believe is the right thing.  They are in office to do the will of the PEOPLE!  It would therefore be quite fitting for her to proclaim that although she does not endorse abortion in any way,  the people have made their opinions known and it is her job to do their will.

The only way it would be  "fitting" for Jennifer to say that would be to have the abortion issues put on a ballot and have the people VOTE for what they prefer.  Jennifer does what she feels her campaign contributors want.  That is why she voted to make it against the law to prohibit transvestites from using any bathroom of their choice in any public building-including elementary schools.  Look it up on google if you do not believe me-amd then try to tell me that that is the will of the people!

If you think michigan is the only state in recession, you're sadly mistaken. What is happening in Michigan will spread throughout the nation if noone wants to help us fix it. Ever hear a saying, "a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link"?

People just wanna be quick to blame Granholm. She's in charge.. she is the easy person to blame. But, she's not the only person up there who can help effect change people. What about senate and house reps??? What about all these people taking wage increases and raises??? Maybe she needs to raise taxes to pay for that? I'm not saying there aren't some things that could be done differently.. but all of what's going on now isn't all just because of her and some cited situations.

What the problem here in michigan is... Our state for a long time has sat on the backs of both the auto industry and the cereal industries. Well, the auto industry is gonna start changing. Gas is very expensive. People are very concerned about Global Warming. Even if some of you arent, a lot are. Jobs have been going overseas for decades. I kid you not... every time i turn around, I'm hearing about someone moving to Georgia or Arizona for work.

What michigan NEEDS TO DO is to reinvent our economy. Maybe try to attract more of teh entertainment industry to do projects here. Things like the super bowl, the casinos, they all do help a lot... but, all these people who are being laid off from the big 3 need jobs that utilize their skills in another way.

If noone wants to help michigan fix it,  you'd be a fool to think it won't spread across the country.

You forgot Texas.  Im one who just moved this summer.  Michigan cant relie on the big 3 anymore.  We've been screaming to the govt for quite a few years now to diversify the economy.  You need computer and electronics, bio-tech, entertainment, etc...that way someone laying off a 1000 people wont have the same impact they can just disperse into the other industries
