    Re: The Star Treatment

I sincerely hope that there is a good explanation as to why Star Jones did not make an appearance.  I think that it is extremely important to maintain her reputation as she is trying to regain her footing.  The Fat and Fabulous group seemed to hold Star in high esteem and it would surely be a shame for her to let them down.  I hope that she realizes that surely an apology is in order and she rectifies this situation as soon as possible.

    Re: The Star Treatment

Star seemed so much more approachable before she lost all that weight. Star also seemed more happier then than now. I can see why her show is not doing well. Star has talent in what she did in the past, i hope she does not turn the wrong people off. If she can't retain good standing, I don't see her marriage lasting long either. susanada

    Re: The Star Treatment

I really think it is too bad that "STARS" feel that they are above the law, and that they can do whatever they want, to whomever they want, with no recourse. It is clear, crystal clear, that she fraudulently committed to an appearance that she did not make, a broken agreement. I hope that the agency gets everything they have coming and more!

If that event was paid for with 501c3 grant funds then they will have to answer for those expenses, and they had better have a good answer! But Star isn't such a star breaking committments to those girls!

Star Jones ripped off Detroit and I feel sorry for those girls.

I hope they have found a new role model.

The old adage is as true today as it was in the past.......Power corrupts!

I have lost respect for her.  If this is indeed true, she will have to answer to somebody bigger than all of us.  This story is sad and I feel sorry for those girls.

    Re: The Star Treatment

I can definitely say I'm not impressed so far with her answers.  I guess tonight they didn't really press the issue of why and where the money is...but no matter what, she seemed to just want to preach about how things should be.  I'm anxious to find out where the $30,000 + went that she STOLE since she gave nothing in return for it.  I doubt if I'll like or even believe her response.  Shameful that Star can't at least return the money she stole.  I'd be suing her if she doesn't if I was their organization for breech of contract plus penalties, court costs and any other expenses.   I hope this turns on a light in other's heads that wish for her "inspiration"...not to trust her.  I also feel for those that have been disappointed at the outcome thus far.

Stereotypical overblown, overbearing "Big Mama",not unlike those on The Detroit City Council, past and most certainly, present. It is unfortunate that these children chose so unwisely.

    Re: The Star Treatment

I  believe if this story is true. Not only does she owe them a personal apology but she needs to refund all and I mean all of their money.

I feel that it's a shame a person with all that money that she would charge anyone that amount of money, especially young women who look up to her. If she is going to quote the bible, she should live what she is preaching.

    Re: The Star Treatment

When star lied about her weight lost, I knew then she was not to be trusted. If you have looked at her new show, she states "I'm holding nothing back".  "Right".  Star cares nothing for the people of Detroit.  She probably thought this story would never surface.  She wanted so bad to be married that she lost sight of the truth when she lost the weight.  Make her pay every single dime back.   Shame on her.  I guess Barbara Walters was right all along.  Court TV needs to cancel her show. It's a waste, she is no Nancy Grace (who I love).

    Re: The Star Treatment

If the first part of the story is true then I think that is really selfish, greedy, and cruel of Star to charge The ladys debit card $ 30,000. First of all she has enough money that she shouldnt be that greedy and charge someone that much when those girls really look up to her and on top of that she didn't show up.
