It's time for the people of the city of Detroit to wake up and make a stand, get rid of the mayor and press charges. He has lied over and over again to the people of Detroit and he will continue to do so. Next he will do what X-Pres.Clinton did and come forth and say he's sorry and he will ask the people to turn another cheek? I hope they don't. People, please take back your Detroit! You can make a differents. How much more money will the Mayor cost the city before the people act.

I think the city of Detroit need to have the mayor removed. We as a whole have to much going on in this country. For a mayor of a big city lie to each and everyone of us is not right. He can say he and is wife was having problem is know excuse to have an affair. That is a sign of a cheater. She need (the wife of the mayor) to stop dealing with his lies and wrong doing to everyone in the city and in this country. We are trying to rebuild the the city of detroit And we do not need a mayor rebuilding the city from a hotel room

I believe that peoples private lives should be considered when publicly reporting such scandals. Especially children being effected. I know this is a shame and the Mayor will definately have to answer to the allegations that are set before him this morning, but when you know that you have a high profiled job as Mayor you belong to the people you represent. You no longer have a private life. He knew what he did was wrong and lied under oath, which he did before GOD and the people, so now he will face his lies and be accountable for them. It's so sad it took 5 years for this to happen, but he should take accountability for the lies and deal with them.

..as far as the navigator issue ... thats whats wrong with this whole entire situation , Why did they start looking  into that  in the first place?  ok the man said when asked if he is having a relationship with her he said no..and the texts they are bringing up are from 2001..not currently.. so  i do not understand what the problem is ... perjury? why when he was asked a personal question about a  private matter ? and  i think but i am not sure  that the question asked if he was involved with her now?

Just like President Clinton, he lied under oath and an impeachment process was underway.  Mr. Kilpatrick lied under oath and should be prosecuted or should be forced to resign.  He has done illegal thing after another and nothing gets done.  The time is now for Kim Worthy and/or Mike Cox to take action and prosecute this criminal that lied under oath.

Unfortunately I am not surprised by what we have learned about the mayor.  He has been under investigation before.  As for his coment to keep this a private matter,  he is the mayor of Detroit and lying under oath is a crime.  He should be honest in his efforts to run this city.  How can Detroit regain itself with a represenative who lies and cheats the city.

Here we go again. A fat tall Coleman is at it as usual. Detroit is being plundered by Coleman Jr. Detroit is a black town and should have a black mayor. It's to bad this one time wonderful city has only had 1 black mayor, Dennis Archer. The other 2 non white mayors was and are a disgrace to their race.

plymom/if you really are a mom we feel sorry for your children.  Thou shalt not bear false witness..sound familiar.  Not a believer, do you want your children to grow up thinking that being under oath in court doesn't matter...if it suits you, go ahead and lie.  If you or your children are accused of something, you'd better pray testimony against you doesn't cross over lying lips.  Your lives could depend upon it.  The Detroit Black Mafia needs to be stopped before more lives are ruined or LOST!  Is it OK to fire Detroit city employees whos only "sin" is HONESTY?  Where is the young lady who blew to whistle on the mayors big party at the mansion...MISSING and likely dead.  This is the leadership you want to defend???  God help us all.

I think that Detroit's mayor is a joke and if the people of Detroit want to turn a blind eye to all of his lies and crazy ideas, the city of Detroit gets what they voted for.  A leopard never changes his spots!

I cannot believe that clergy (who should have no legal voice) are commenting that these act happened a long time ago.  Any minister that condones illegal acts... I would not be putting money in his or her hands.  Other kind citizens think well, men will be men.  I agree; and a lying thieving thug is always going to be a lying thieving thug.     PEOPLE.  THIS MAN AND HIS BOO COMMITED A FELONY.  PURGERY.  They ruined the careers of two men.  What about their families!  They also discussed being smarter NEXT TIME!

What about the money this poor city had to pay because the mayor could not keep his pants zipped!  This is not a WOOPS affair.  This is a man lying under oath, and making the citizens of Detroit pay for the hotel rooms and vacations so he can have sex with his mistress.  Naaaaaaaaa, you didn't think that he was going to pay for anything?  Why should he, he can spend yours. You think when they were lying in bed he thought of that property tax trash scam?  Navigator scam?  Motorcycle scam?

 Detroit's citizens need to take their naps later; stay awake for this one!

 

 

Who cares about his kids?  What about the children of the City of Detroit who deserve more from the Mayor.

This isn't personal, it's public.  They both hold public jobs, they were using city owned communication devices.  How many of these trips out of town were arranged so they could be together -- on the cities tab?

 

A man is just a man.A dishonest man is just a dishonest man.If he knew what the truth was he wouldn't have had an affair in the first place.If he was honest in court in the first place this would not be a story as it would be public knowledge already.The only person to blame for hurting his wife and children is the mayor himself. I am sorry that his children have to go through this because children are innocent. Unfortunately this man is in the public eye and did a bad thing.Yes people have affairs,and nobody is perfect.An extramarital affair is not the issue. This man lied under oath. If  I was a voter in Detroit, I would want this man removed from Office.I wonder what else he's lying about, the party at the mansion or that poor girl that was murdered.
