Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

It's TIME for Kwame to resign. . .he has brought enough humiliation to the City of Detroit.  I have no respect left for him anymore to even call him "Mr. Mayor".  His arrogancy and denial is pitifully displayed every time he is in front of a camera; whether it be Ch. 7 or other stations.  What happens in Detroit truly effects southeast Michigan.

How convenient AFTER the City Council voted that Kwame spoke up about other subjects that need to be discussed.  ALOT too late, just RESIGN!!

    The mayor should not resign!

To the media and all who have comments. The only people who should be commenting on what the mayor should do better be a resident of the city of Detroit. If you don't live in Detroit, pay taxes in Detroit, then you have nothing to say! If you are, you can force him to quit by voting him out of office at election time.

And if others have comments, What???

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

Are you nuts? Where the hell do you think all this money is comming from? From us people who go to Detroit for many reasons. I work in Detroit and pay taxes to Detroit for this THUG to waste MY TAX DOLLARS!  Also sporting events etc. Oh we do have something to say. Why don't you get your facts straight before you talk out of your ass!

Its about time, now lets work on getting him out office. The Mayor has abused his power and has embarrased the city of Detroit and the state of Michigan even more so now that this story is being watched nationally. "Lets get back to work" to get his disgraced mayor out of town!

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

I think City Council just paved the road for Kym Worthy to press perjury charges.  The Council is doing the right thing.  The Mayor thinks his good deeds are a concession for his ill-doings.  The surface is only yet scratched.  We will discover more each day as long as he stays in office.

What's disappointing is that it isn't just the City, this whole part of the state, including the state is getting one whale of a big black eye from the punch of arrogance!

Carry on Kym Worthy, validate City Council now.

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

You're right.  I will not spend any more of my money in Detroit.   My cash was good but not entitled to an opinion.  If it weren't for outsiders, how would Detroit survive...

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

He should have been kicked out a long time ago.  What is wrong with Detroit? After having evidence of abuse for years he still remains in office. He is so discusting I cannot stand to look at his pompous fat face.
If Elliot Spitzer is outsted for his connection with a prostitute how is it that this so called mayor still can be in office?  Wake up people!!!  If this isn't resolved soon, I will never set foot in Detroit again--and that is a promise. . . . Get rid of the idiot!    J. Armstong

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

I was born and raised in the city of Detroit for 21 years and I loved the city, until I was driven out by Coleman and now Kwame. It seems to me that the only thing these 2 wanted to do is to racially divide the city. They wanted to make it a black vs.white issue. Not a solution of what is good for all citizens of Detroit (black or white). Along the way they figured that they were entitled to own, take, manipulate, steal, cheat, etc..., whatever they desired. Us peasants didn't matter, as long as the "king" got what he wanted. In a way, we got what we deserved by electing this "thug", not once, but twice! Coleman and Kwame have a great skill of twisting the truth, blaming others for their actions, and denying any responsibilities for issues. When the going gets tough, just blame "whitey" and try to get all the sympathy from your brain-dead followers.

    Sad day for all, AGAIN!

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

Detroit has already been in the worst possible shape it could possibly be in. Everybody including our president pretends like there is no problem with the this city being the worst for employment and the first in foreclosures. Then we have a mayor who I used to think was taking care of business. Apparently the business he's taking care of does not involve helping the city with its huge problems. I don't care what he does in his personal time, but apparently there were millions of dollars lost to the city because audits were missed. This is not counting the huge amounts spent for covering up what he could have come clean about long ago. Then he has the audacity and the arrogance to to deflect the attention away from him with his ridiculous speech last week. If city council can't boot him out, who can? Please, somebody, call whoever it is and pull the plug on this guy.

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

I think this is a go.  Mayor Kilpatrick has cheated everyone, his scandel and lies.  I believe that he has been sleeping with the Chief of Police.  He is not helping Detroit at all.  I agree that he resign as Mayor of Detroit.  It is hurting in the Detroit Area.

    I agree Diane.

Sorry about the language but what a idiot. No wonder Kwame is still in office with lame ignorant people like him keeping him in office. You want him you got him. Are you living like you want and giving your chilren what they need?

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

I agree with the council, it's time for him to resign.  He has continually behaved in a questionable manor over past years.  If any other person lied under oath it would be punished by law, it's call perjury.

He has lied and cheated the people of Detroit.  If I lost my company 9 million I would be fired post haste.

Detroit has such potential and it deserves a mayor who is for the City and not what the City can do for.  Kilpatrick is an embarrassment to the City of Detroit.

CNN is making a laughing stock of Detroit by showing this mans ignorance.  Kilpatrick is not Detroit - he is only one small mistake Detroit has made.

Detroit wouldn't exist at all without the suburbs, at some point Kwame supporters in the city need to get that through their biggoted heads. We suburbanites spend tons of money in the resturants, casinos, shows, sporting events and  riverfont events. Many of us suburbanites work and pay city taxes. If we suburbanites were to boycott all these events and you keep that Gansta thief in office Detroit will become a third world country. So, wake up! The only thing Kwame could give back to Detroit is  what he has stolen from the poor, and hard working taxpayers.
