LOOKS LIKE IT'S GOING TO BE A SLOW DAY HERE,   BUT STILL WE HAVE TO BOYCOTT THE CITY         IT'S NOT JUST THE CITY THAT IS EFECTTED OF THIS     THE WHOLE STATE SUFFERS FROM THIS SCANDAL.

It seems like the council is trying to make the right decision for the city of Detroit and its people. I don't see how the mayor could continue to efficiently run the city while this trial is going on. He needs to put aside his big ego and self-centeredness and step aside if he truly cares about the city as he has always stated in the past.

I already have since this story broke, and I will continue till this so called Mayor leaves office. can anyone get a web site going where people who are boycotting detroit can go and sign up? I would but I am not computer literate.

Kwame will be going down real soon now that ALL the tapes are going to be released by Detroit Common Council - Only one voted against and that was Monica Conyers... I have a feeling both Conyers are in those tapes - She is fighting too hard against Ken Cockrel about their release!

Council should demand Kwame Kilpatrick to resign. And not only them, but Jennifer Granholm should demand him to leave as well. He is a disgrace to the people period! And he is costing the city too much. WHO is paying for all of this outside of his personal attorny fees? THE CITY TAX PAYERS! HOW DARE HIM ASK THE PEOPLE HE HAS ROBBED AND TAKEN SO MUCH FROM TO HELP PAY HIS LEGAL FEES! WHAT'S WRONG KWAME, IS THE CITY FUNDS BEING WATCHED NOW? Former Detroit Police Deputy Chief Gary Brown said Wednesday he is considering a challenge to Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's mother for her seat in the U.S. House of Representatives Brown confirmed he has commissioned a poll to determine his chances against Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, who has been in Congress since 1996. If Brown runs, he would go up against her in the August primary.

I just heard this awile ago.  I laughed out loud, This would be just desserts wouldn't it.

Who wants Kenneth Cockrel for Mayor?  I certainly don't.  I voted for Kilpatrick and that is that!  My advice to the City council is for them to get up off their butts and come into the neighborhoods and talk to the people who put them in office.  We have more important things to discuss then the mayor's text messages!!!!!!!

I am sick to death of city council the majority of them should resign!!!!! Get off of your humps and join the mayor outside in the community!  I will not vote for any of the current city council people in the next election.  It is time for a change get their lazy complacant behinds up and out!  I'm growing more and more disguisted with the Media and their Lynchmob mentality Yes, we know you and the powers that be want Kilpatick out.  You prove that through your very bias News coverage.  Time to show more humanity and Remember INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S Who cares what the people who live outside of the city thinks?  I don't.  If you want me to listen to what you have to say,  then you should live as well as work here in the city, as I have for over 50 years.  most of you come here to work and go downtown for the sporting events and only know your way around by the freeways you never drive through the neighborhoods because you are so paranoid that you'll be carjacked or killed that you couldn't know that there are alot of beautiful neighborhoods here.

They should follow Kim Worthys lead. The Mayor needs to stop playing God. He staying in position isn't a good role model for the youth of Detroit or his sons.

Do you have a son or daughter?  Do you want them to follow in the mayor's foot steps?  Have your husband humped in and everything in sight?  Have You and Your Husband caused the city 9 million dollars? Can you see or Hear?
