Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

Very well written Cris. But I am a little more on the direct to the point manner of speaking, crude maybe. GET OUT kk, you are making a fool of your family, your friends and your constituents by maintaining this "no big deal", "no smoking gun" attitude of yours. If had the balls you act like you do, (or are they baby nuts?) as your thugs (so called police officers) have to carry some balls as yours are surely gone. You are making a laughing stock of the City you say you love nationally. Get lost and the City will heal, stay and YOU will destroy it. You are hoping that with some fancy face time and much bamboozling of the (to quote your sister) idiots in the City that they will say old kk is just movin' on and everything gon be alright. Get out you freaking thug.....have a shread of dignity. YOU ARE NOT AS ENTITLED as you may think. YOU created this nightmare by thinking you could bully good police officers who got too close to all of your crap. IT WONT WORK YOU'LL SEE. GOD IS NOT DONE PUNISHING YOU and neither are the quality people of the City of Detroit.

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

Kwame isn't going anywhere.  He still has, what, 20 months left to loot Detroit?

Granholm won't do a thing because Kwame and his mommy are undeclared super delegates.  If she moves to remove Kwame, then the Kilpatricks will surely go for Obama.

And Censure?  Big Deal. The whole state of Michigan Censures Kilpatrick but he is too busy robbing from the hard working taxpayers of Detroit and filling the gold lined pocket of his cronies on Team Kilpatrick.

Re: City Council Wants Mayor Kilpatrick to Resign

I would first like to make it perfectly clear that I do not, and will not condone any actions of the Mayor, and or his staff that are deemed inappropriate. That was not what I elected him to do. I like many felt that he was the one who reflected what we believed to be the next phase of taking this City to the next millinium with a sense of pride, and dignity befitting our fair City. So with that I say, Let the Judicial System take it due course. What ever happens to "Due Process" ?

Yet, as for the City Council's decision ?  I feel (and this is strictly my own personal opinion) that the current Council is dare I say protesting too much. Because aren't these the same core individuals who sat there as fellow Councilman Bates de-frauded the City with thousands of dollars worth of bogus payouts to ficticious employees. And when I say core, I mean Cockrell, and Cockrell, Watson, and Kenyatta. So before they accuse anyone of misappropriation shouldn't we discuss their own inadequate degree of ineptness before we discuss the conduct of others.

As for Councilman Conyers, she proved (to me) that the next election I will definitely take into consideration if we need tempermental individuals in positions of power that can effect a City. Along with those who will sit around and do nothing, if they feel it isn't going to hurt them in the long run. What I go to the polls and vote for is who I feel is the extention of me, and my ideals. Someone, or those who will represent my sentiments when they render their decisions of what is best for me, and all connected. So I'm hoping they will allow "Due Process" to take it's just course, because as taxpayers that is what we are suppose to believe in. And that is why we elected them to uphold.

This is very true. But, at some point "Character" comes into play here. And from the very begining it has been questionable at best. The harsh realities of this have since long set in, he (KK) just refuses to admit it. If you'll notice his Mother is very absent in ALL of this. For 6 years she was right by his side thru all that he accomplished. Who knows maybe she knew what was going on as well.

You have received a new Private Message from Cheryl48

I hesitate to send a private message, but I'm not about to get into a public
    contest.

Perhaps angry was the wrong word for me to use... However, combative,
antagonistic and, at times, arrogant certainly fit your posts. That is certainly
up to you and, as you say, your way of making your opinion known. However, and I
can only speak for myself, when someone seems to be on the attack and/or
condescending, I shy away from contact. I guess it's the old phrase, 'It's not
what you say, but how you say it.' Please read over your posts and note who
"started it" when there was a confrontation.

I'm here on the forum to learn. It's an eyeopener to see why people feel as they
do and express themselves as they do. As I've said before, when kk is gone, and
he will be gone, those of us left will have to work together. We all have things
in common with the love of this city at the top.

I've tried to reach out to find a common ground with you. If it doesn't work, then I'll just pass over your posts without
    reading.

    Peace.......

Angry, combative, antagonistic, arrogant, on the attack, condescending all adjectives of your choosing. "Please read over your posts and note who "started it" when there was a confrontation". And your final paragraph is priceless. I have only been posting here for 1 month. Your mere suggestion that I'm some sort of ranting lunatic is so far from the truth.

If you would really read my posts you would see from the very beginning my position was always this, and only this. Calling Kilpatrick names isn't going to settle the matter. One of the first things I thought I made perfectly clear that I did not affirm, nor did I condone his, or his staff's behavior in any of this. But if you seem to think that I don't agree with YOU is the problem then you have this situation all wrong.

This IS a Forum, where various ideas, and thoughts regardless of how diverse can be expressed. Some may be welcomed, and others will not. I don't take ANY of this personally. I have a life, eventhough some accused me of not having one. And the last thing I would do were to waste a PM on someone I don't even know. I'm not, nor have I ever been a Cyber Bully. I don't have to lower myself when the obvious is in black and white. Now if some have no clue as to what I was referring to then that is on them. Because if my opinion is, or was going to change the world I certainly wouldn't pick this small a Forum to do that.

Someone went as far to say I was just like Kilpatrick. I noted the similarities and went on from there. My posts are MY opinion, I don't need to attack anyone with them. The foundation of the Forum floor should welcome ANY viewpoint. I began speaking strictly about "Due Process", and for some you would think I killed their first born child. You still don't know me from tom's housecat. But, I have only insulted one persons intelligence, because of what they said. I didn't do it in some drunken vulger, oh I'm going to hurt you with this PM.

I don't need to PM anyone, my thoughts are for ALL to see. I have nothing to hide, no punches to pull. But, even if no one agrees with me I'll still know that all is still right with the world. This isn't some sort of measuring that if I don't live up to that my world is going to come crashing down around me. I was taught how to be a realist. And being a Negro growing up in the 50's, and 60's in Detroit I learned a great deal. Early on in some of my posts I mentioned 2 dates that were significant for me.

July 2, 1964  The Civil Rights Act was signed into law by then President Johnson. And August 6, 1965 The Voting Rights Act was signed into law by then President Johnson. During that time it was stated that segregation IS discrimination. And the blood, sweat, tears, and deaths weren't for nothing. Yet, here we are 50 years and some change later. It's almost like nothing has changed. I will never forget the Klu Klux Klan, The John Burkes Society, even The White People's Committee. There are many things as a child I will never forget. Because ALL of it made me the person that I am today.

I will never look for some sort of stamp of approval, or acceptance. And anytime someone is quick to label you, that's just to cover them. Understanding the psychology, sociology, and even certain types of human behavior. Been there, done that as I stated before. Personality is when "other's like" you. But, Happiness is when "you like" you. But, it really doesn't matter if anyone chooses to fold, spindle, mutilate, or just plain miss my point. I'm not going to crawl under a rock. I'm am entitled to feel any way I choose just like everyone else in the Forum. So if a "chosen few" feel I'm the Enemy it's their loss.

    ========================================

There is something really unsettling about posting something that has in the very title "private".  Evidently you, Gliddet, thought it shows you in a favorable light and the writer in an unfavorable light.  How wrong you were!  Don't bother replying to me, however.  Your sermons and holier than thou attitude have convinced me that you are on this board to simply state your opinions, and you are not interested in friendly discourse.  That is not the case with most of the other posters on the boards.  We enjoy conversing and learning from each other.

I don't mean that you are not welcome to post.  You are.  No one feels you are the enemy.

    Re: Scrambling for Spin

My point exactly, I have no desire other than to speak my opinion on the subject I address. No subliminal messages, no angry, condescending, belittleing statements, just how "I" feel on the subject I chimed in on. But, having someone else critique my statements from their side saying something that I had no intentions of saying is a bit much. But, I understand where other people come from, I sometimes don't get that same consideration.

So what you are saying is that because it says "private" you can say what you want to someone so that you can feel better about yourself. But, in that same breath you try to apologize for what you are about to say. None of it makes any sense. If you don't agree with someone, why can't you say it in public. After all that's where it all got started in the first place. The truth still remains that this is a "FORUM", so whether the statements are pro, or con that is what the venue is for to discuss it.

Contrary to what some of you believe, I have also recieved some "encouraging" E-Mails as well, explaining who is who if you will. How the anarchy goes around here. So don't flatter yourself into believing that all is well in your created land of Oz. I'm not seeking any approval ratings, I'm just speaking my mind just like you, and everyone else. To eliminate our responses to one another is the simplest thing. Do not read anything I say. That way you don't have to waste any of your un-necessary energy on my useless brain fodder.

And I have come to know for a fact, anytime the reference of sermons, or holier than thou seem to come into play. Only means you haven't been to church in a while. So maybe you should go, you might learn something about yourself. Or how to treat others at the very least. Because those who are great at criticizing others, generally have gigantic character flaws that they keep carefully concealed. Until someone like me comes along and exposes them for what they are. Then the reverse psychology is poured on to mask the cowardice on your part. For some that works, until it is exposed. Now what ????

City Council member Barbara Rose Collins has her own problems with "Inner City  Sub Center" which is a corrupt story in itself. And.......she has her boyfriend, housekeeper, grand daughters mother, grandson and a host of other relatives on the city pay-roll.  What a joke.  She says her vote "can't be bought" but Kwame bought her a $15.00 diner on taxpayers money and she changed her vote yesterday. Hypocrit!
