Don't put much faith in Kim Worthy. She is a member of the club. If she charges Kawame with any thing, its going to be some thing minor. Kim is more interested in her own career and political moves. Notice how in press conferences her hair was pulled back in the beginning of this? Now her hair is down nails are done. I'm suprised she didn't have the press conference at 5pm so she could get more viewers.

I think that if Kim doesn't come with charges, it means that lying is accepted in court, sometimes?. This could be really sad for our justice system.

We all know he lied under oath I don't see what there is to investigate there?

Now I can understand where it would take some time to figure out just how many other laws they broke.

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

And what this whole thing boils down to is the murder of Tamara Greene. Kawame ordered the hit to cover up what she might say. Because she was assaulted by Carlita with a baseball bat for performing at the party "that never happened" So add murder to the charges.

The Mayor needs to take responsibility and Resign.  It really is a shame that he thinks he is above the law.  How much more has he lied about that the City doesn't know about?  I have two son's who are twins and certainly do not want them looking at him for a role model.  I feel sorry for his children and what they are going through.

I was thinking that and then...just last week my husband received a form for one.  Could be for anything though.  It was just kind of weird, I was thinking it and then the form arrives.

    Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

I wonder what the political implications of this scandal are for the Democratic Party in this election season.  Most politicans (Democrats and Republicans) have been mostly silent at this point.  I think that it's only a matter of time before these politicans' opponents begin to capitalize on their silence. With Kwame being a once prominant Democaratic, will this hurt the party?

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

It is very aparent that the mayor is awaiting Ms. Worthys' decision to make his next move.  If she elects to charge Mr Kilpatrick, he will begin to rally the his supporters hiding in every church across the city.

Secondly, he won't resign and he will fight this with every ounce of energy and resource he has!  Look at the big picture!  Mr. Kilpatrick will run for his mother's seat when she retires from office.  His dilema, If he resigns, he admits guilt and may not be electable!

Or If he's convicted, he's not electable as a felon, no matter what!

Look for the mayor to survive this dilema once again!  The city will only flounder along as it has over the past three decades under the Young and now the Kilpatrick administration!

The city wreaks of nepotism and favoritism for those in power!  It's a shame as the citizens and the region as a whole deserve much more!

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

I certainly hope Worthy will not play that game with Kwame.  I hope she will not compromise with him, at this point, who cares if he steps down if it comes to him receiving lesser charges.  I'd rather see an enraged mob beat down his door and drag him out.  Seriously, He needs to receive the full brunt of the charges, to do anything less at this point would be a travesty.

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

Mike Cox with his hands in the State Police investigation and how that whole thing unfolded has left me with a lot of questions also.  I wonder, does Kwami have something on Mike Cox that might affect the State Police's investigation?  Is Cox dirty too?  The State Police investigators plainly had their hands tied in their investigation as a result of the Mike Cox's decisions.  Then, a one-on-one meeting between Kwame and Cox, followed by an announcement about it being nothing more than an urban legend.  Hmm...

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

Mayor K is a disgrace to the city, and the entire state. As an elected official on the tax payers pay-roll he should be held more accountable for his actions (purjury) than a private citizen. If Kym Worthy does not prosecute the Mayor will continue his arrogant disregard for ethical behavior.

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

There are times when we seemingly are out of control and cannot be stopped...Well, its then that GOD will intercede (example)" LET MY PEOPLE GO". Let us go Kwame. Allow us to pick up the pieces and move forward otherwise a figure much higher that your arrogant a-- will turn this entire situation around. And pay me back my % of tax dollars that you took upon yourself to spend !!!

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

I have faith in Kym Worthy. She is NOT part of the club. She has integrity. Grant she might one of the few left in the County that does but she is tough.

My question is... can she charge Ella Bully Cummings? I am not sure what the rules are for a current Chief of Police.

Whatever comes out, I am certain that this is only the beginning of this... I have no doubt that the Federal Prosecutor is involved already, as well as the Governor's office.

Have faith people!!! There has to be one person left in the City that isn't corrupt!
