    Clip of eviction

On Wednesday, Carr received a voice mail from mayoral spokeswoman Denise Tolliver.

She was calling to complain that his station's coverage early Tuesday was unbalanced because it showed a clip from a Detroit community activist group attempting to serve a symbolic eviction notice on the mayor, but had failed to mention a pro-Kilpatrick rally at the Shrine of the Black Madonna.

Can someone find this clip for me... I missed most of this past week. If I was awake,,, I really couldn't comprehend much. I read someplace that there were 8 to 10 officers were defending the Mayor against old women trying to evict him?

JEEZ!!!!   Kilpatrick must be HIGH!!!  Doesn't he know that people are smarter than that?  I do believe that people are seeing right through this CRAP!!! Here, Kwame is constantly accusing City Council of "playing politics" instead of concerning themselves with city business when HE is the one that is truly guilty of that - not City Council.  He states that he wants City Council to concentrate on his "Economic Stimulus Package" instead of "playing politics".  Everytime he appears at one of these areas where his "economic package" is supposed to help, he uses it as a "soap box" for his accusations of the City Council playing politics.  He briefly touches on what the "package" would do to help that particular area and then - he's off to the races with his agenda.  Before all of this MESS - he NEVER cared about these areas.  But now, all of a sudden, he's claiming he's been trying to clean up these areas all along.  And EVERYBODY knows that's not even remotely true.  He concentrated on the Downtown area - not the neighborhoods.  If anything, somehow all of the monies that were supposed to spent on the neighborhoods were used elsewhere (i.e. Downtown) or the money just somehow simply disappeared!!!   And nobody else is "playing politics" except Kwame!!!!  I guess he thinks that people of Detroit are really stupid and won't be able to see through HIS personal agenda.   Kwame, WAKE-UP!!!!   The people of Detroit aren't that stupid!!!!

I think I'm finally awake from being totally sick this past week.

Sure the money in Detroit has been dissappearing for the past 6 to 7 years. Going in KK's big pockets. The city pays for all KK's lavishnes. The only time KK's hands goes into his pockets is to add, not take out. Do you really think he's going to be paying for his own defence team. I don't think so. In the long run Detroit will pay for that too.. They need to OUST him already.

Re: As ye sow, so shall ye reap

I have a question concerning some other area of this investigation.   What the hell is going on between Kwame & Monica Conyers?  She is always somehow supporting the Mayor or trying to point the finger at others for this mess.  Now she's pointing the finger at Mr. Stefani.  She claims that he "blackmailed" the Mayor's lawyers.  You know, if the Mayor had not done anything improper or mainly not LIED UNDER OATH, there wouldn't be anything to "blackmail" him with.  What is going on?   I think Ms. Conyers needs to be investigated!!!   There's something in her past.  It's either something the Mayor knows something that Ms. Conyers did and she doesn't want the public to become aware of or the Mayor has done hera favor in the past and she owes him now.   I don't know what it is - but there's definately something.  And I do believe that  if someone started digging into her past they would find out what  it is.  Mr. Stefani did not do anything that Kwame's lawyers or any other attorney would have done for their client.

    Mayor?
While surfing the mayor's Justice Fund website we came across this picture of Mayor Kilpatrick with Rev. Al Sharpton and City Councilwoman Monica Conyers. Is this another case of the Kilpatrick people using others names and images without permission or did they do this with the blessing of Councilwoman Conyers in particular. If she did approve of it is this the proper place for a sitting Councilwoman to be when she is supposed to be an unbias decision maker and working on behalf of all the people of Detroit. It certainly would explain some of her previous comments on the mayoral scandal. Conyers voted for the settlement and has made recent statements questioning the council investigation and chastising the attorney for the whistleblowers. Ethics appears to be one of many challenges for Conyers. Councilwoman Conyers must be reminded that she was elected to serve the people, not the mayor.

Re: As ye sow, so shall ye reap

She is a joke.  How long are the council members elected for?  It seems to me that her complete lack of ability to comprehend her role as a council member should be addressed to/by her husband.  Although he may not care, either.  There is so much corruption and so many unsavory connections in this mess that it gets more disgusting every day.

I believe the Conyers and Kilpatrick families probably have similar views as to how to appropriate public resources.  Do you remember a few years ago, when her husband was investigated for misusing his congressional aides?  He apparently didn't know the proper use of his staffers and campaign funds, even after being in congress for 42 YEARS!  Seriously.

    http://www.nypost.com/seven/01032007/postopinion/editorials/imperial_john_conyers_editorials_.htm

    From the article:

"According to published reports, Conyers used several staffers as his personal servants - requiring them to babysit and tutor his children, chauffeur him to personal events, help his wife with her law-school classes, work on his campaigns and pay restaurant and motel bills.

One staffer was even ordered to move into Conyers' home for six weeks and serve as a live-in nanny to his kids."

(Many peole don't like the NY Post, but the story is out there in many other sources as well.)

         It Does Count!

After numerous meetings with current leaders, political advisors, and most importantly, my supporters, it has been determined that to be a part of the meaningful change that is desperately needed not only in Detroit, but throughout the state, my efforts should not be limited to merely seeking a seat on Detroit's dysfunctional City Council. Such being the case, this site is being updated over the weekend and on Monday April 14th, 2008 I will announce what office I will be seeking to better serve you.
