    Re: Kwame's Friday Hearing

This really needs to go to the state supreme courts.  This is clearly favoritism.  This is just wrong.  HIRER ups need to get involved.  I feel he shouldn’t be ALLOWED to leave the state period!  Business or not.  He needs to step down.  We all know if this was one of us we would have had a warrant out for our arrest!!  That is a FACT!  Beatty has to stay in the state now.  She got punished for leaving for job interviews.  Boy… CLEARLY she is getting the WRONG END OF THE STICK!!   The perfect fall person!!

    Re: Mayor's Travel Restrictions

This makes me sick. We all know he is a liar and now all he has to do is lie and say that his trips to God knows where are city related with no proof of such. This is just another way for him to take his family on trips and get them paid for with tax dollars.  Seeing the smirk on his face as he got up and walked out of the courtroom today made me want to slap it right off him.

JEEZ!!!!   Kilpatrick must be HIGH!!!  Doesn't he know that people are smarter than that?  I do believe that people are seeing right through this CRAP!!! Here, Kwame is constantly accusing City Council of "playing politics" instead of concerning themselves with city business when HE is the one that is truly guilty of that - not City Council.  He states that he wants City Council to concentrate on his "Economic Stimulus Package" instead of "playing politics".  Everytime he appears at one of these areas where his "economic package" is supposed to help, he uses it as a "soap box" for his accusations of the City Council playing politics.  He briefly touches on what the "package" would do to help that particular area and then - he's off to the races with his agenda.  Before all of this MESS - he NEVER cared about these areas.  But now, all of a sudden, he's claiming he's been trying to clean up these areas all along.  And EVERYBODY knows that's not even remotely true.  He concentrated on the Downtown area - not the neighborhoods.  If anything, somehow all of the monies that were supposed to spent on the neighborhoods were used elsewhere (i.e. Downtown) or the money just somehow simply disappeared!!!   And nobody else is "playing politics" except Kwame!!!!  I guess he thinks that people of Detroit are really stupid and won't be able to see through HIS personal agenda.   Kwame, WAKE-UP!!!!   The people of Detroit aren't that stupid!!!!

We noticed he using these platforms for grandstanding and projecting blame on the council as you said.  kk obviously believes people are stupid and if he does it long enough they will believe him.  That is your typical performance of a sociopath!

This only proves Kim Worthy's point for her. No local judges should hear his trial. Does anyone doubt now that they all favor him?  Maybe they are trying to pi$$ CB off enough for her to turn on him? He can do anything and get treated like a King, the title he thinks he has, King of Detroit. His wife sure thinks she is Queen, so I guess CB's title now in all of this is court jester? Not that she should not get her due punishment, but come on now.........at least she had the decensy to resign.

    Re: Monica

Surely her husband does not approve of her behavior.  She is a loose cannon.  She adds to the bad name of Detroit.  Shame on her.

Is my perception of what happened at that hearing correct? KK's attorney knew exactly what he was doing when he added the out of the US part, and it slipped right past the attorney for the prosecution who seemed a bit befuddled and didn't clearly comprehend what was being proposed?  And the judge, well that just defies any rational explanation.  I know there are issues about the court, but seeing this performance should there be concern about the prosecutor's team?

Yes and its all the more reason for Granholm to consider on stepping in. She said that she wanted to let the prosecution to play out. Well, its obvious that Detroit Justice system is on the Mayors side...As for Kwame, that narcissistic pecker-head (whud up with those elf ears?). He has no decency!

No wonder Kym is trying to get a different venue. My dog has more legal sense than this judge.  If the Kwamster realizes he might be convicted watch him run.  I know people that are on probation for unpaid traffic tickets that are not even allowed to leave Michigan. This dope is charged with a felony and the brain dead judge expands his travel to outside the U.S.

The corruption in Detroit, Wayne County, and Michigan goes a lot further than you think.

More examples of individuals lacking brain activity.  To even suggest we take " his word " on his travels.  He is the appointed mayor until somewhat can get him out so I guess that continues to make him entitled to whatever.  Let them have the little ones...we want to win the big one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That man has never been held accountable and to think we were asking for an itinerary.....I thought that was a realistic request not that he wouldn't have lied about that.....an itinerary makes someone somewhat accountable.  kk would not have liked that.

    Mayor's Travel from WXYZ website

CHANNEL 7 LEGAL ANALYST TOM CRANMER EXPLAINS THE RULING IN VIDEO PLAYER RIGHT

DETROIT (AP/WXYZ) - A judge has clarified the conditions of Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's bond governing what kind of notice he must provide to the court to travel outside Michigan.

36th District Judge Paula Humphries says Friday that Kilpatrick may travel outside of the state or country on city business if he gives the court advance notice.

For personal travel outside Michigan, however, the judge says Kilpatrick's lawyers must file a motion requesting permission.

Kilpatrick is awaiting a June 9 preliminary examination perjury and other charges.

Humphries plans to issue a written order on the conditions.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy had asked the court to review Kilpatrick's $75,000 personal bond after Channel 7's Steve Wilson revealed his weekend visit with evangelist T.D. Jakes in Texas.

Tom Cranmer, the legal analyst, said that he didn't feel much had changed. Yes, Kwame can leave the country on city business, but realistically, he isn't a flight risk.

His personal travel now is much more like Beatty's... motion requred for permission.

However, his attorney's slid in the concept of "mixed" travel, business and personal, and that is included in the portion not requiring permission, only notification.

    Re: Testing, Testing, 1-2-3...

Unlike most of you all, I can't sit and e-mail all day.  However, let's clear this up ARCHER didn't implement anything (maybe he did enjoy the box of Oreo cookies that was delivered to his office everyweek though) HA !

Mr. Coleman Young implemented much of what is happening downtown now, when he tried for the Casino's it was such a bad idea according to all the suburbanites and now their the majority of the people down there now.

I see now one addressed the reasons why Brooks P. has never received this much attention, nor Bill B., what makes them exempt ?  Heck Clinton didn't even reecive this much bad press, so all I'm saying is that the media needs to stop "picking and choosing" who they so-call expose.

As far as the City Contracts, let's see.... how many Minorities and/or Blacks do you think has Contracts in Oakland; Washtenaw & Macomb Counties ?  Not many if any, if your going to make allegations check EVERYONE not just Detroit's Mayor.  You all act as if he Invented this stuff., Kwame doesn't have 1/2 the staff at the Mansion as any other Mayor for Detroit, Archer himself had Cooks, Maids; Car Service for his family.,etc.,  come on get real and know YOUR facts.  Coleman Young had ore staff than both and he didn't even have a family like them.

All you holier than thou folks constantly condeming people like your saints, Clean up your own homes/life before judging someone else, (did any of your mama's teach you that)?

Ask the President, why he's sending Billions when we're in need here.  Patrol the streets and get these drugs off the corners, protect the children from predators, help the elderly., etc., let the justice system do there job and do what they need with Kwame and give his family some peace, can you imagine his children constantly hearing this all day longgggg ? It's played out, it done move on and let justice find it's way in Court this isn't your battle.  Kwame has more supporters than you think and maybe you wanted Kendricks to get in, the man who was playing politician @ Rosa Parks funeral defacing her obituary with his autographs.  You better wake up and address the real issues in this world instead of focusing on a man that lied about having an affair on his wife....

Council Hearing Erupts in Shouting Match (Can you guess who's shouting?)

    FROM the FREEP:

A Detroit City Council special investigative session into a police whistle-blower lawsuit settlement erupted into a yelling match when President Pro Tem Monica Conyers made claims that she was being disrespected.

The argument began when Conyers asked an independent attorney who was testifying if the council could be sued by Detroit residents for approving the $8.4 million lawsuit settlement.

Councilwoman JoAnn Watson said: “They can sue you; I voted no.”

Conyers told Watson to stop interrupting and disrespecting her. She added: “We all know how you voted; you don’t have to keep repeating it.”

Moments later Conyers interrupted Council President Ken Cockrel as he was questioning Carl Edwards, the Detroit attorney. Cockrel reminded Conyers that he had the floor and banged his gavel repeatedly.

Conyers railed: “You’re not my Daddy. You’re not going to disrespect me. Grow up! Control your house and learn how to treat women.”

Cockrel told Conyers that she was “one to talk.”

As the council members yelled at each other, residents attending the hearings yelled, as well. “You’re disrespecting the citizens!” and “This is a shame!”

Cockrel took a quick recess to regain order before then breaking for lunch.

    **************************************************

Is she off her meds? She can't seem to get along with anyone! Wasn't she in a shouting match with the mayor's buddy a few weeks ago? A leave of absence to a treatment center might be just the thing for her.

    Re: Mayor's Travel Restrictions

Some people are really ignorant, why would he risk "running" for a lie ?  Again, this is being so hyped up it's ridiculous and everyone is acting as if it just happened.  He should have fired them, heck if any of you go spreading rumors or telling your boss's business you'd be fired too, but you can believe you sure wouldn't get paid out a million plus dollars after crying about it and wouldn't have gotten that if "Blackmail" wasn't put in place ?
