If Monica is Carman Slowsky, then I think Carlita has met her match.  If Monica has decided to "move down" to Kwame, Carlita is toast.

Also if Monica is Carman Slowsky, I would be ashamed if I were Kwame and that was the best that I could do.  No wonder he is trying so hard to hide the tapes!

Awwwwwww. I was going to make the same exact comment! My mother grew up in the same neighborhood with John. She said "His Gayness was common knowledge in the neighborhood. (She grew up on Porter st. near Old Tiger Stadium"). Not that there is anything wrong with it... I just can't figure out why he Married her.  Where did he pick her up at?
I am Just curious about Monica...Did she go to Law school and if so where? She just comes across like a low budget street urchin!

Kwame SHOULD NOT be allowed to go where he wants when ever he wants just by saying it was for  the City of Detroit business.  Businessmen and politicians are very fond of taking VACATIONS and find a way to make it look like it was a business trip.

 

As for Monica Conyers.  Sher needs to pull her head out of her A-- and learn when to SHUT UP!!  I realize that she has a high opinion of herself and thinks she is the greatest asset that the City of Detroit has had in a long time but she needs to stop acting like a DUMB BROAD and more like an educated Public Servant!!

Monica should aplogize to the residents of the city I was truely apauled by her behavior, we teach our children not to interupt and, not to call names and here we have a City Council member acting like a 5 year old.  I would like to know who voted for Monica! Hopefully they will not make the same mistake next election.  She could learn a lot from her husband I have never seen him act any way but professional. 

It sometimes make's me wonder what Monica is trying to hide, she has been on edge every since this whole thing with the Mayor began.  She really needs to grow up and learn how to be more professional because what I seen today was an embaressment to the City and the residents.

 

From what I hear, she used to say she was a lawyer, but got called out on it.  She never passed the bar exam (I know,  I was shocked, too!) but did go to law school.  I think she had a lot of *help* with her studies-as in "Do you know who my husband is?" and "Don't you tell me what to do.".  I am beginning to think her husband paid a lot of people off to get her on the council and out of his way.  She is awful.  I don't know how the other council members tolerate her, but she will be all over You Tube now with this stunt, and the nation will think all of us are just like her.  It does not matter if you are from the suburbs or the city.  In other states, we are all Detroiters.

Johnson intern in the nation's capitol. 

Monica Conyers worked for sixteen years as a teacher  and administrator, managing staff and budgets with the DPS and she has served as  co-chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus Spouses Association and sits on the Board of Directors of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.

The hard  work paid off as Monica Conyers shocked political experts when she garnered enough votes to elevate Councilwoman Conyers to the position of Detroit City Council President Pro Tempore as her vote total even exceeded that of Mayoral candidates Kilpatrick and Hendrix.

When asked what she would do to balance the city budget,  Council President Pro Tem Conyers said, "I would not vote for a budget that exceeds realistic revenue  projections. You can't spend what you don't have. Deliver for the people of Detroit or hit the door."

I really must agree with you. I have never been ashamed to say I am from Detroit , but that has changed after all that has been said and done. The world must think we are all just like them. These people work for us and represent all of us ( what a shame) . The city was already going down with the Mayor and his THUGS!!!!!!   I think from now on I will just tell people I am from the Midwest at leave it at that. Shame on all of you !!!!!    Please show some CLASS when you know there are cameras...  

Monica was just interviewed on Channel 4...her explanation was a bit indirect, commenting on things that had led up to the altercation, and explaining that she was trying to represent the people of Detroit.  After watching a clip of the "fiasco", she smiled,and then told Carmen that it was time for the media to begin loving the city and that public response would depend on "how this altercation was depicted in the media"....Huh???????? she doesn't GET IT!

I loved the way she blamed the media for the way they would portray this fiasco.  What a psycho

I can't decide who was worse S McPhailure, or now M Conyers.

Thank God we didn't have to put up with both of them this week.  They must be taking turns

She sure doesn't look like it!  She's just strange!

The college Monica recieved her law degree from is not a highly ranked law school. All you need is a 2.74 G.P.A for admittance. Example Univ. of Michigan requires a 3.49 G.P.A for admittance. Monica's University requires the 4th lowest G.P.A. requirement. It is not a college for the brightest. More a school for students that need a sheepskin with low standards.
