You make a good point, but I still think Monica is in deep dodo for something, and not related to her husband. (We don't hear much on Mr.) I think the election scam would be a great start.

I'm not sure what was said, but you have no reason to apologize!  I think we all have challenges at times with the formatting here - I certainly have, and am still not familiar with all of the icons and how they should be used.  And I do have trouble posting pictures, at times.

 

Anyone know what happened?  My audio has been cutting in and out, but apparently the City Council voted to physically accept Kwame's budget package (not to approve its contents at this time), but would not hear his presentation of it.  They all concurred on this except for one dissenting vote (hint - she was all over the news this weekend due to her outburst on Friday). 

Now the live streaming has been cut off.  Anyone know what is going on?

Ken Cockrel did the right thing in light of the fiasco on Friday, why entertain another circus? Yes, I did see how Monica Conyers was the only one objecting!! I'm not surprised at all!! I'm pretty sure there would have been more outbursts today. I guess Monica's bubble has been burst!!

This reminds me of the reason why I avoid grocery check out lines with candy. I know my four year old is going to beg and act up, so I avoid that altogether.

Yes, ksr, that makes sense now.  I'm just glad that the entire council (well, almost) had the sense to put a stop to this.  I guess they are REALLY allied against him now!

I'm glad I saw this before I have to leave for work!  I don't think anyone was being critical.  Although I don't respond to all of your posts-(

or anyone elses), I do read and enjoy them.  If anyone was being critical of a posters formatting, it was probably mine.  I don't know a lot about computers, and some times don't take the time to re-read what I say.

Kudos to the city council for doing this!! I wish more people would have stood up against this man and his nonesense.

Please explain what favors.  I was under the impression that this mess could endanger Ms. Cheeks-job.  Why would John Conyers want to be involved in that?

My day was just made! The City Council REFUSED to let Kwame present his budget. Now of coursehe is having a press conference, the SOB had the chingas to "thank" the media for coming. Martha Reeves, Monica, and Barbara Collins came to his press conference. So were Ella Bull *** and it looks like some other appointees were there too.

Now the hunor in this was... while Channel 7 broke in as "breaking news", it would seem that 7 and 4, as soon as they realized that it was simply Kwame USING them, they left and went back to regular programming!!!!

GO MEDIA!!!!
