I must agree with the above writer. Mrs Conyers is a distraction in the council. I believe she thinks she knows all and wants to be president and not pro-tem. She doesn't appear that she wants to work together with the council. I think that she should want what the people in Detroit wants and not all her ideas of the way she wants it, because she works for us not the other way around.

 

   I have in previous posts expressed "MY" thoughts in reference to Councilwoman Conyers. She has not been a great representative of the people in my opinion. Even before she had her disagreement with Concil member Cockrell. I personally did not vote for her, because her reputation preceded her for me. But, politically the name is what got her elected NOT her platform. That's why it is important to do as much homework as you can before you choose a candidate. It does no good to to say " oops my bad" after the fact.

All I can say is thank God she has a BUDGET to pay for this crap, because the mayor is destroying the city of Detroit with all of his Lawyer's cost. And after he brought in Opie and Andy from Hooterville I was sure that was enough, but who knows, what Lawyer will be next. I want to see the mayor convicted of these charges and I want to see him locked up for a long time, his lies just keep on running on and on, like the energizer bunny. The good Lord only knows how many women he was with, especially during times on his company pager will really show the voters. When was this man working? And when was he with Christine or Carlita, sounds like they may have been 3rd or 4th on the list, maybe even lower, wow!!! Those poor children, What a father they have, amazing dad he has turned out to be!!!  I hope his momma is in Washington screaming now, yelling, y'all's boy is good, he's not lied to anyone, he's a great mayor, can't y'alls see that now!!!

In terms of leaving him alone that is not possible; if he wanted to be left alone he would have confessed to his alleged crimes and submitted himself to jail so that he could be put in solitary confinement where he would be left alone. He will not be left alone until his judgement day comes. Well, maybe the majority of the public. He still has a slew of supporters. .The  Kwame Kilpatrick’s legal defense fund reported raising $185,600 since it formed in April. Many of the DETROIT business community have donated to this piece of crap for a mayor! I think this trial may never come under light until the next election. In the meantime Kwame will cling onto his Mayor title until he is voted out or thrown in prison. The man cannot afford not to have the mayors salary and perks at this time. So he desperately needs to milk the system and the taxpayers.

Worthy unlike the mayor is doing the job we pay her to do.  Had the mayor done what he should have done, we would not have these ungoing expenses nor the expense he tried to hide as a consequence mixing his personal life with his public rsponsibilities.  Worthy needs to press on as Kilpatrick will never learn.  He has no remorse(other than getting caught) and no mercy for the poor state of this cities finances.  I pray Worthy will not be worn down by those who want to maintain this narcissistic mayor.

This board is to discuss Kwami and his sidekicks, friends, and family , not any other politician in the U.S. corrupt or otherwise, that  on its own would  make a book 2 time the length of War & Peace., and a 8 hour movie of the week with sequels to follow.The continuing publicity on the corruption of a city's mayor  and followers has simply gone on to long.  I am not a resident of Detroit, nor do I live in a city in luxury. I am a hard working individual, taxpayer, and proud to live in the USA. Back in the day I loved Detroit, the homes, businesses and the neighborhoods were much cleaner and safer . I thought of living there way back, but with all the corruption by past and present politicans , and the deterioration of homes, businesses, streets, I am totaly ashamed what that once nice, safe city has become. That is not the total fault of the residents, it is because of the politicians are running this city  to the point of no return with broken promisses just to get the vote.. Instead of focusing on cleaning up the joint with funds specially resereved for that purpose , these politicians spend the taxpayers hard earned money on more uneeded  travel, PARTIES, Casinos which are causing more people to fall into debt, loose their homes, jobs, and resort to crimes just to survive the blight of the city's sourroundings and  it also brings in crime and  more corrupt people.   The mayor has 8 ( count them 8 felonies against him), and will most likely walk away with a small fine, and a ( don't do this anymore, young man) slap on the wrists. Any other Politician  or a business owner, or average resident for that matter would be yanked off to jail, stripped of their dignity, homes, cars, bank accounts and so on ) Here we have the shady Mayor,  and his sidekicks, living in the lap of luxury, thinking he is above the law, disregards the law, going where he wants, doing what he pleases all  while bilking the city's funds,and  taxpayers money right under their noses , getting caught and still continues to keep this up. What a piece of work he is.. What will he do next to these people of Detroit  before  they  finally wake up and stop protecting him . When the city and major politicians have the power to Kick his sorry self out of office, as should be done, they find ways to keep this soap opera  going on day after day, waisting the city's and residents, jurors( included) time and money ,  by giving the continued  publicity to these corrupt people which I believe is what ( to be seen on the big-screen TV. "Hollywood here WE come")  is simply disgraceful. . I am ashamed  for the city of Detroit and  for the high powerd politicians we put in office to protect  us ALL , by helping this poor excuse of a mayor  to continue ruining the city of Detroit's reputation as a ONCE  fine city.. The political system is at fault for letting this continue. Put a stop to this nonsense, dont worry about how they will feel towards you or about getting votes for you self  in an upcoming election. If you take action and take this sorry excuse of a Mayor out of office ( NOW)  like you should do , put him behind bars, as he should be, and stick up for the residents of Detroit instead of your fellow politicians like you should be doing,, you will get our future votes- Not to Worry! Do us all a favor whether we live in Detroit or not and remove this person for office now save us all from having to hear this saga on the regular news or on breaking news day after day. We are so tired of hearing all the New evidence coming out on this man , his family and pocketful of friends in ? and see no  final action  or closure to this problem ending any time  soon.  We need a NEW mayor in Now to clean up the mess  this Mayor made of the cities finances. All the broken promises this character made over the years in office, to help keep  the people safe , promises of jobs, , to make life easier for its residents, has never been done , he blind sided  the people and simply stole their money right out from under them , and laughed all the way to the bank.,and  while flying off to vacations spots world wide. "", Out of site out of mind ? will never happen . "Wake up" Detroit, with him as a friend, you will never need enemies., he is not worth your time any more, move on help the system remove this Mayor immediatly. You have that right and power to do this as residents. Don't worry about the "Boo Hoo" fix that he is in, he created this himself and  he deserves to be trashed as he has done to your once fine city.   Another thought, think about  are his KIDS and what they must be going  through  with all this, when they are in school, on the streets with friends, at sport games ....  I am sure they are very embarassed, and frustrated to keep hearing about  their fathers bad behavior, being publicized over and over. Has  any one including the Mayors wife, given that some thought. I feel so sorry  for these children, now and in the future.. I am sure I am not the first to ask this favor--  Mr. Mayor ,do the right thing, for your kids and yourself and Step Down  from office quickly, save what little dignity you have left. and go about your business, preferably in a place outside the now tranished USA and out of Politics .  In fact do US all that favor. , so we can save the News hour for more important  things  to focus on. Enough is Enough!

All women know what it is like to just have a regular man and you have to deal with him cheating now think like your man is the mayor come on and i just hope that the public and the media understand that she is the mayor's wife and not the mayor. she is a woman standing by her husband that is what she has to do so let's all pray for her and their kids that god guides them through

i am not mad at Monica Conyers cause she is not afraid to use the mouth that god gave her to speak. Here is what burns my a-- why are we putiing kwame's mother in this? She has a right to say let the law make the decisions she isn't responsible for her grown a-- son. you need to keep the blame where it belong

while kim worthy is cleaning up the mayor's house what about her oen? If she would pay attention to what is happening there then her aid would not be up for obstruction of justice and everything else . when you live in a glass house then you throw stones

Kim Worthy is doing what she has to do - this thug Kilpatrick needs to get out - and let the City of Detroit recover - Detroit and its suburbs cannot afford to keep him in office and cannot afford to lose any potential outside business - Detroit is losing its once good name.

Do you have to be a member first before you can view anything on www.helloworld.com I've tried several times to get the Detroit City council I can't find that particular part.  Please help
