You go right ahead and do that. I know people who beat their heads against walls repeatedly too, of course they have put them in rubber rooms for their own protection. Actually saying the mayor isn't guilty is a misnomer, I am 100% convinced of his guilt, he has not been CONVICTED!

Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision
sweetlady9911:WHERE IS THE HIDDEN BANK ACCOUNTS IN THIS HATCHETT JOB ON THE MAYOR? AND WHO ARE THE RECEIPIENTS?
MAYOR KILPATRICK, STAND STRONG LIKE FORMER MAYOR YOUNG AND KICK SOME ASS FOR A CHANGE WITHOUT BEING SO HUMBLE. WHILE IT IS NORMAL TO APPEAR HUMBLE AND TO APOLOGISE, DOING SO IN DETROIT WILL GET YOU TERMINATED FROM YOUR JOB. BE REAL AND DO NOT RESIGN
What hatchet job? KK is also NOT humble. He never has been and never will be, until he's being careful not to bend over to pick up the soap! Everything that's happening to KK was brought on KK by HIMSELF....Nobody is out to get him. The only thing the people wish for is justice. Now go sit in a corner somewhere and pray for KK because he's going to need all the prayers he can get, though even though God may hear the prayers, he knows that justice is necessary and that it's time for this to end and give the city back to the people. KK himself knows he's guilty of probably more than the public will ever know. So far, we only know what he's been caught doing. Are you blind? An innocent person does not ask for a pardon, nor do they mention a deal. Both of which he's done. And I'm not talking about the deal recently offered to him but his "suggestion" of a deal before today's court arraignment.

Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision
B360degrees:So we're not going to discuss a sitting U.S. Senator being indicted on felony charges...not being jailed...not being treated like a thug...not being verbally attacked by prosecution...there are many double standards regardless of race...more to the point of loyaties...money...intelligence or the lack of any of the above plays a significant role...I'm waiting for the prosecution to bring out the dog catcher and the candle stick maker...the prosecution can argue the law in court and honestly believe they are doing the right thing in securing a monitor on the Mayor of Detroit for his trip to the Democratic Convention, but its politics at ist worst and no one wins...nobody...its Ken Starr 15 minutes of fame...tax payer millions and individually after its all said, done and forgotten the only thing that many of these players will care about is the mortgage...if you look in the closets of many political players, whether its the court system...city politics, state or fed you could probably find enough to send this entire country into anarchy...I still support the mayor....humanity is fallible.
You type quite well with your head buried...up...er in the sand. I can make no comments on the other politicians/offices you mentioned, but if you still are supporting Kwame....let me toss you a lifejacket...you're gonna need it. P.S. Yes humanity is fallible, of that I agree. KK is being prosecuted because he has broken the law, that's the bottom line...in spite of how other cases turned out...sure he may get off somehow, but the mountain of evidence against him grows daily.

Are you sure you aren't leroyleroy that comments on a lot of the news stories? You sound just like him tommytom. Coleman was a crook and yes he got away with a lot...more than he should have, but nobody would stand up to him either, just like with KK. Archer had us headed in a good direction, but who knows what he saw, that caused him to not wish to run for another term. Hendrix was another bright light yet somehow KK managed to get voted in a second time. There were a lot of blinded citizens when he was re-elected. So now present day, we have this mess and there is no way the city can continue in this manner. All we can hope for is that there aren't that many with tommytom's point of view, as KK could serve another term. I don't believe there enough Wayne county citizens left that would cause KK to be elected again...Thank God...though stranger things have happened. Detroit just needs a mayor with integrity that is honest...whether black or white...someone that cares more about the city than lining their pockets and wishes to move the city into the future. There are so many positive things about Detroit, that it's a shame to waste them when the future could be so much better for every citizen both in Detroit and in the state. I agree reverend....he's 100% guilty of at least 1 of the charges against him...but all you have to do is understand why the settlement was approved until a call to KK, because the original settlement documents included comments about Skytel Text messages and Christine Beatty's mortgage on her house AND the previous home she owned while still living with her hubby. Then all of a sudden, KK signed a document rejecting the approved settlement (which was before the council saw the original)...then magically the "Confidentiality Agreement" was written with both KK and CB's signature on it and the original settlement documents were changed and Skytel and mortgage statements were gone..and those messages were to be "buried away" in a safe deposit box for nobody to ever see...wow...I could go on and on... If you have some free reading time..just visit http://www.michigan.gov/gov/0,1607,7-168-23442_50699---,00.html and view all the documents thus far in this case. Probably take a couple hours or so to read through them all, though I have. There have been lies, deception, trickery from the beginning by KK....Granholm should have NO reason not to remove him from office just on misconduct alone....even without the felony assault charges pending. KK broke the trust of the people that elected him and screwed many to get where he's at today. Must suck being down in that hole looking up at the sky huh KK? The only icing on the cake will come when Carlita is found guilty of assaulting Tamara Greene (Lt. Kearns from EMS knows)....and when the person that murdered TG and the other dancer to cover it all up comes out. Whew...that was a mouthful...LOL.

Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision
I was very disappointed that ANY deal was offerred. But I was very pleased that KK was too stupid to take it. I want him prosecuted to the fullest extent on each and every one of the 10 felony counts. The young people of Detroit and the suburbs need to see him go to jail for his lying, cheating, and stealing from the city. We need to see as many photos of him behind bars as possible. It won't get any of the millions and millions of dollars he has cost us, but it will be very gratifying to actually see him paying, and to know that young men and women will not be emulating him.

Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision
I don't live in Detroit but did work in Detroit at one time. Its a Beautiful city and has a lot to offer however all the beauty and offerings of this over 300 year old city is being over shadowed by this political chaos. The people and the city of Detroit deserve better than what they are getting from an individual who was sworn to serve and it appears that the only one being served here is "Sir Kwame Kilpatrick!" Why is he so specail? Presidents have been impeached for such shenanigans. If he truly loves the City of Detroit as he claims and cares about the people of Detroit he would do the honorable thing and step down and not bring the city and the state down more than he already has. How can the City "Move Forward" as he says when everything he has done has only continued the sad progression of facts, innuuendoes, media hype and of course lets not forget the continuing exodus of the taxpayeres hard earned dollars to tie up the courts and the city counsel and everything that really matters the people of Detroit and surrounding communities. His party would proably like to see this go away also as he does not represent his pary well at their time of need.
