WXYZ.com please video tape Steve Wilson's reaction to Kim Worthy's announcement - it will be priceless!  Hopefully all his hard work will be justified this morning.

The mayor obviously lied underoath.  It's documented on video and through text messages.  I know Kwame's lawyers will muddy up the case, but it really is open/close.

I find Ella Bully Cummings denial about the Navigator nauseating. You have been CAUGHT you liar. I think it would be poetic justice for her to be prosecuted and fired. Better yet, I hope that Jerry Oliver is the testimony that puts all of the corrupt officer's away for 15 years.

Am I cracking up? Wasn't Ella Bully the one that said that the Navigator was an "under cover narcotics vehicle? and not for Carlita?"

I agree with you Carl. Steve has worked tirelessly on this case and I would also like to see his own reaction to Kym Worthy's announcement.  Thank you Steve, for all of your hard work!!!  :o)

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

I have to agree with this comment about the mayor resigning.  The way he has been acting lately is very cocky.  He has charges above his head and he is still acting like "business is usual".  I mean how can that be when everywhere he goes reporters or someone is asking him about the scandel.  (if you can even get 10 feet close to him)   This man is totally out of touch with reality.  The way he is laughing on TV about it like it is nothing.  He is treating the whole situation like a joke.  I just wish he could resign so I can watch other news in Detroit that is worth more of my time

Tantra, If my memory serves me right yes, she did say that. I thought I saw it on the news when the original Navigator scandal was revealed.

    wm2541:
I wonder what the political implications of this scandal are for the Democratic Party in this election season.  Most politicans (Democrats and Republicans) have been mostly silent at this point.  I think that it's only a matter of time before these politicans' opponents begin to capitalize on their silence. With Kwame being a once prominant Democaratic, will this hurt the party?

    wm2541,

If nothing else, this will affect the election in that both Kwame AND kwamemommy are democrat "superdelegates".  I kid you not!

    See the 8th paragraph:  http://www.usnews.com/articles/news/campaign-2008/2008/02/20/meet-the-superdelegates-obama-clinton-court-party-members-of-all-ages.html

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

He won't step down because as long as he is major he can stick the City of Detroit with his legal bills. That is why he won't resign. If he TRULY cared about the City he would not have stolen from it, lied to it and used it as his own personal bank account.

He won't resign because as long as he is the Maya Playa the City has to pay his legal bills. This is a guy who ONLY cares about himself!

    Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision

We don't have Kwame Kilpatrick's "side" because he continues to believe he doesn't owe any of an explanation. Carmen Harland has asked him repeatedly to speak with her and he refuses, I find it repulsive that a pubicly appointed official thinks he doesn't have to account for his behavior as an Official, or for his spending.

Please don't tell me that there are "2 sides". According to Kwame, there is his side and the rest of us are crazy.
