Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision
Webb told KK to keep his big mouth shut, cuz he played the card already,,, maybe they will sound different coming from a white boy. And I'm white,,,, but this Attorney sounded like a White Thug... It don't matter how you slice em. A Thug is a Thug.

Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision and Barricades
facco1:Its sad to see a black leader get drugged through the mud. Yes he made bad decision, we all do. Bush has made bad decision and it has cause thousands of lives. He has lied to get us in this so call war we are in. I have not heard one person talk about his corruption. No it does not make our mayor right but he's an angel if you compare him to Bush and we are talking about our country. Im praying for our young Black Mayor and this shall pass. Yes he is suffering right now and thats ok its only a wake up call to get his sh_t together. I do beleive he can and will get back on track. And that is taking care of the buisness of our city.
Detroit Logic. Find someone you think got away with something(in this case you use Bush) and excuse the illegal behavior of leaders of your own community. Pathetic really to compare KK to Bush or Clinton. People like you are excactly why Detroit is in this mess to begin with. You won't hold your elected officials accountable, so they just crap on you like KK has done and Coleman before him. And you teach your children the same irresponsible logic. Just blame someone else by picking anybody in history you think got away with something and blame them instead of the criminals of 2008.

Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision
Hey, for $700 an hour I'll say cows are purple and the mayor is going to vindicated, too! He's paid to be his cheerleader and try to pursuade public opinion. Good luck - he's guilty, arrogant and needs to pay for his lies. Resign KK!

Re: Mayors scandal, Mother's comment
I've just heard the statement that Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick made regarding her disappointment in Prosecutor Worthy and I am apalled. Whatever the outcome of the legal issues at hand , Kwami Kilpatrick has made bad decisions that have led to this.
Ms. Worthy has done nothing but her job and from today's media coverage, appears to have done it honourably and well. Something Kwami should have been doing all along and he would not find himself faced with this now.
It is time our politicians and all elected officials begin to see that we expect no less than actions that speak to integrity and the highest good of all the citizenry in the daily decisions we see being made. We have not seen that from him and enough is enough.
Carolyn Kilpatrick should be expressing her disappointment in the bad decisions her son has made, even as she supports him in making the best ones for the city as well as his family in the days ahead. That is what a good parent does. To deny and place blame on others instead of assuming responsibility for one's own actions is reprehensible. It is one of the earliest lessons our children should be taught. Shame on you Mother Kilpatrick.

Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision
I questioned the day Kilpatrick was re-elected to be mayor of Detroit the second time around with the Channel #7 New Staff, I myself was surprised and dismayed. I am so glad that Kilpatrick has finally reveiled his arrogants, selfcenterness and that he has no respect for his family or the constituents of the City of Detroit or the City Council. As for the Attorney Fee's let's face it bookkeeping under any name is just bookkeeping by any other name it's just more money spent by Kilpatrick watch your backs Detroit. I think Kym Worth'y decision is way over due!!!

Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision
I love how the Mayor's supporters praise him for all the good things he has done. Well guess what? That's what he is suppose to do. That's like praising a Mom for feeding her child.
Back to the apology the Mayor gave with his wife. What exactly was he apologizing for? If it was for the affair with Christine then that proves he commited perjury in court. Although I don't remember him saying that's what the apology was for. He kept it vague for a reason!

Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision
So they actually let Ms. Elmer Fudd (Carolyn) and Ms. Blue eye shadow (Robbie Timmons) interview the Deputy Mayor. He put your butts in your place. I hope the Mayor is vindacated. In that case., though, do they rent out COBO hall to the media and let all us "we told you so-ers" come and watch you all eat crow. Oh no...you just brush it off and go an assassinate some one else that doesnt agree with your religious or political views. And Steve Wilson, the Toad.....he is trying so dang hard to find something to chew on. Put him out to pasture will ya.

Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision and Barricades
Regarding the comment in another post, "Its sad to see a black leader get drugged through the mud." With all due respect, I have to say its comments like this that just infuriate me. This mayor has done nothing but make De-toilet the smelly armpit of this country. If you haven't read the national news lately, that is what people are calling the great city of Detroit (de-toilet). The economic woes of this state have more to due with De-toilet's undesireable nature as a destination point nationally and internationally and the mayor of this state's primary city does nothing to change that perception. If you were an investor, would you go to Milwakee, Chicago, Minneapolis or Detroit? The perception of major cities like Detroit, Flint and Grand Rapids is what keeps this State from moving forward economically. Until these large citites are fixed, we will reamin in an economic slump.
The comment about the sadness of seeing a young black leader drug through the mud... sir or madam, he put himself in the mud and it is up to the citizens of this state to drag him from it for the sake of our future and our children's future. Black or white, as an elected leader, he is held to a higher standard. He has repeatedly failed in this respect. In his state of the city address he cited snow removal and cutting grass as the turning points of changing people's expectation of the city leadership. Good God, you're defending a man who thinks that is what makes a great city and sets that as his hallmark? For God sake, people of Detroit, we deserve more than that... Where is Archer?

Re: Mayor's Scandal: Prosecutor's Decision
I am very happy with the Prosecutor's decision. I feel Kwame has wronged us as citizens of Detroit. He is not doing his job to it's entirety. It would be at the cities best interest for him to step down, and give the City a chance at someone and something better. He has done his share, now his job is over. He has abused the City Money, Trust, and Court system. I hope he gets what he deserves, and I am not excluding Ms. Beatty. Her attitude on the stand had lie all in it. So may justice be served.
Mrs. Vasser
