Everyday people are hearing about it because the media constantly covers it.  So tell me, know-it-all, why do we hear about it EVERY DAY?  On EVERY channel?  Hmmm??? Nothing has changed so why keep beating the same drum over and over again?  That's why he made the "lynch mob mentality" statement.  I feel the same thing should apply to the media as it does Anti-Kwame/Pro-Kwame supporters.....LET IT GO!  The media basically is saying that nothing good happens in Detroit.  That seems to be bashing Detroit.  Detroiters are not going to just stand by and be criticized by anyone whose part of the problem and not the solution.  The main reason I even watch Channel 4 instead of 7 is because Channel 4 is IN Detroit unlike 7 and 2 which are in Southfield.  Nevertheless, they all are beating the same drum.  Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over..........I'm willing to bet that if Kym Worthy doesn't tell you something you want to hear then you'll be criticizing her, too.  What ALL of us NEED to do is just wait and see.  Regardless of the outcome, somebody's not going to like it.

When something is done to remove his lieing, cheating, stealing, butt is removed, and prosecuted then it will be over. We are outraged because he continues this farse and laughs at us because we are STILL paying for his farse. And WE WONT QUIT until he does. He's bringing this on himself,,, as always.

Was the Pentastar plane the same one that used to carry Mark Fields home every weekend to Del Ray, Florida?   If so, Kwame has more in common with business leaders than we think.

Or do business leaders have more in common with Gangsta KWAME! I think you may be on to something! Like my momma always said...Birds of a feather flock together!

Yeah suburbanite4u...You may be onto something

COULDN'T GET OUT OF TOWN AS MY 12YR OLD SON HAS BEEN IN U/M W/ KIDNEY STONES.     SO NOW I CAN GET BACK IN THIS FORUM FOR NOW.

I THINK KK IS GIVING HIS FRIENDS/FAMILY HIGH PAYING JOBS W/ A KICK BACK.  $ THESE PEOPLE WOULD HAVE TO WORK FOR.  THERE'S SOME MORE SPENDING $ FOR KK.

MY HUSBAND IS VERY MUCH IN TUNE TO THE BUSINESS WORLD AND CAN'T BELIEVE KARMANOS IS A BACKER.   THAT'S JUST CRAZY.

UNDERSTAND IF BUSINESSMEN HAVE TO BACK ANY DETROIT MAYOR IF THEY DO BUSINESS THERE.  BUT TO SHOW YOUR FACE AT THE SPEECH AND LET YOURSELF GET INTERVIEWED AND SUGGESTING KK GET A SPANK ON THE FANNY.    COME ON PEOPLE, YOU JUST OPENED YOURSELF UP.     WHY NOT TAKE THE 5TH AND STAY 10,000 FT. AWAY  FROM DETROIT/CAMERAS FOR AWHILE????

IT'S A SHAME FOR KARMANOS.  NOW FORD????  IT'S BEEN A FEW YEARS NOW SINCE I'VE BEEN BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS.    SHAME.

abeauti41 I totally agree.  But we already know what suburbanites will say, don't we.  Between the two of us (and I'm sure plenty others) I think there is entirely too much coverage of the same old crap.  Even if/when they think they've found something else, the media tosses that information on top of the old information and the cycle starts all over again.  Vicious cycle isn't it?

HA HA HA I knew you couldn't compile a list of Kwame's accomplishments :) As you are working on that LONG list of Kwame's accomplishments... could you also give me the source of your facts? More whites on welfare than blacks...ok, and you have these statistics from where? I am just asking you to back up your facts with REAL data. Just a hint, you might want to look right next to the incarceration statistics... :)

As an OUTSIDER, I think that each of us OUTSIDERS should have a choice on whether or not we want to contribute to the welfare of Detroit. I would be more than happy to write check to help pay to put a 30ft electrofied, razor wire wall around the city, drop automatic weapons from the air, and let you DETROITER'S take care of your own mess.

You can then have an excusive club... of all Detroiters. You can pay for everything yourself. You will not be coming to the burbs for groceries, or any services. Only medical personel that are Detroiters. Only Detroiter's can stay. Everything you need is right there in the city, there is no reason for you to come out.We will in turn find other places to spend our time and money, out here, on the OUTSIDE.

No welfare, no bridge cards, no medicaid. No state subsidies, no Federal money. Have at it, it's all YOURS, and Kwame can be your King.

We will come in with the bulldozers when it's all over, and clean up the mess once and for all.

That sounds even better than ousting the KK and his Klan. Let the Detroiters have at him when we pull out. All their money can't buy him much more than he's already got in that town. They will eventurally take on the Manoogian, just to get food, and a warm bed.

We'll gladly take your check and many others to build that 30ft razor fence.  That way we would keep out all of your pedophiles, rapists, wife killers, etc.  Everyone knows that the scales of justice are not balanced so I'm not even going to discuss that.  You know what 'your kind' always do.  Strangely enough, though, you get away with it.  Because we don't have/never had the resources you have (regardless of who the mayor is/was) we are at a disadvantage.  Bottom line is the media's coverage is biased.  I'm sure there would be equal coverage across the board if Detroit was predominantly......non-African American.

Don't forget, you have to have an "all washed up" cycle before you can spin it.

    Racism

ROFLMAO "my kind".... gee there Amazon, you wouldn't be, oh I don't know... racist would ya? HA HA

You have been a source of entertainment for everyone in my office today, thank you :) And as for my check... I wouldn't be so stupid as to hand it to "your kind" LOL We have learned from Kwame that giving you the check is a bad, bad, bad idea. We would pay the contractor directly... sorry no kickbacks this time sweetie.

For some reason, I am not at all shocked that you would "take my money"... you and "your kind" have a long, long history of wanting things given to you for free.

Again, your "facts" have no data to back you up... I am still waiting for you to give me that list of Kwame the Salami's accomplishments, which you won't, of course be able to give because he has don't NOTHING on his own for the city.

Poor poor you, so disadvantaged. Perhaps you could earn some extra money writing rhetoric for the New Black Panther Party's website?

You might want to consider your mentality level... expecting evrything for free, having some sense of entitlement has not served you, or "your kind" well. Do you have some sort of genetic predisposition that precludes you from taking out a student loan and educating yourself? Oh wait... you don't even need to pay back the money if you go to college... you can have Pell Grants (that I pay for, say thank you), and you have all of the scholarship money earmarked for "disadvantaged" people, and then of course there is always the UNCF...

All the while, me, and "my kind" will continue to move ahead in life, working for what we have and not expecting someone else to give us anything. Afterall, someone has to work to feed the parasites, the crud of society, like "your kind".

Oh one more little tidbit for you...I too am considered a minority member of this society, and find those others that demographically are in the minority, that make excuses for their behavior based on the color of their skin, pathetic.

Seems to me that you and Kwame are cut from the same cloth... both having a sense of entitlement, neither accountable for your actions.

    Re: Racism

    http://www.metrotimes.com/editorial/story.asp?id=12648

This week's Kwame Moment In History: There is very little I can add to what everyone else in town already has said about his thuggish race-baiting at the end of his State of the City speech.

Except, that is, for two things: First, what our mayor managed to prove is that he really doesn't give a damn about Detroit or its residents, or about anything other than clinging to his title and his paycheck, even if he totally destroys the city as a result.

Consider this. Any city competing with Detroit to attract jobs must have rushed to get a video of the Kwamester whining that he'd been called a "***" and raving about death threats.

Why, he told the world that his is a city where "you can say anything, do anything, have no facts, no research, no nothing and you can launch a hate-driven bigoted assault on a family."

All lies, of course, but that's indisputably our leader. And he's managed to do wonders for our image in the eyes of the nation. "So, want to move your business there?" I can hear the marketing director of Kokomo telling prospects. "If that's not enough for you, read a little more about how Detroit's mayor manages money."

But you do have to give Mayor Text Message credit for something I would never have dreamed possible. He made old Client No. 9, the whoremongering, sanctimonious governor of New York, look classy. When he was caught in a federal sting, Eliot Spitzer essentially fessed up, with dignity and decorum, apologized and promptly quit. (True, he did obscenely drag his poor wronged wife before the cameras as a prop, but they all seem to do that.)

As far as I can tell, Spitzer seems to have damaged only himself, and drained only his own family's money. Kwame Kilpatrick, however, has cost his city untold millions. Yet he has made it clear he'll have to be blasted out of office. So ... is there a nitroglycerine salesman in the house? (No, baby, that wasn't another death threat. It's what they call a metaphor.)

Re: Steve Wilson Investigation into the Mayor's Expenses and Private Jets

This is not a Witch Hunt... It is a City learning the real truth about there Mayor who is stealing lying under oath and perhaps even covering up a murder committed by a police officer to hide the fact that he had a stripper party where 2 female stripers end up dead after the fact and one who was beat up by his wife with a bat, they Mayor and his wife need to tell the truth for once in there lives
