Kwame, you can't construct a wall on 8 mile road and call it the Great Wall of Detroit!!

 

If it wasn't for the people outside of Detroit, commuting to work within the city, attending the sporting and entertainment events, visiting the casinos, paying for water usage, paying taxes, etc; then Detroit would be much worse than it already is.

 

We're not out to get you, threaten you or cause harm to your family. We just feel Detroit would be better without you.

 

Carlita would be better without you.

 

The city council would function cetter without you.

 

Your police chief would be better without you.

 

The city attorneys would be better without you.

 

The City of Detroit would be 9 million dollars in lesser debt without you.

 

The image of the police officers would be better without you.

 

 

When Kilpatrick piles lies on top of lies to obscure/confuse the real facts about his conduct in office, it becomes necessary to revisit the FACTS. I myself have never been as incensed about any public issue as the categorical lying on the part of Kwame Kilpatrick. It insults one's sense of justice and decency. As for being an OUTSIDER, others here have already stated there is no actual boundary in terms of the impact of the image of the City of Detroit to the region as a whole. As the City goes (down), so does the region. I agree with others who have stated that what the media needs to do is list ALL of the suspect dealings/activities of this man. He really is a thug and a crook. Our REGION needs to deal with this problem if indeed those within the city limits will not. To use race as the issue is to further deflect attention to the real issue, the criminal behavior of said THUG.

You might want to consider your mentality level... expecting evrything for free, having some sense of entitlement has not served you, or "your kind" well. Do you have some sort of genetic predisposition that precludes you from taking out a student loan and educating yourself? Oh wait... you don't even need to pay back the money if you go to college... you can have Pell Grants (that I pay for, say thank you), and you have all of the scholarship money earmarked for "disadvantaged" people, and then of course there is always the UNCF...

All the while, me, and "my kind" will continue to move ahead in life, working for what we have and not expecting someone else to give us anything. Afterall, someone has to work to feed the parasites, the crud of society, like "your kind".

Oh one more little tidbit for you...I too am considered a minority member of this society, and find those others that demographically are in the minority, that make excuses for their behavior based on the color of their skin, pathetic.

Of course the city of Detroit is paying for Kwame's legal fees, that is why he won't resign. If he resigns he will have to pay his legal fees himself. He will take advantage of the city for as long as he can.

This is getting hard to find the most recent post. Is there a sight the majority of people are on now? I keep going back and forth looking at the most recent post time to find the people I know. I like meeting new people but I was kinda in a groove and now everyone seems scattered all over.Why do they keep starting new ones? Its not necessary and interrupts the flow of information, unless of course "thats' the plan man", by Kwame. I am sure he reads some of this or has some one do it for him! Oh well... Sigh I just hope its not falling apart  because we all really need to stay unified in forcing KK out of Office along with most of the City Council.  It is Wednesday @ 3:42 probally still at work. I am just appauled, here we have people going hungry in the City of Detroit, no heat, freezing to death and their "Honorable" Mayor is taking $43,000. flights to Florida.  What else is he doing?  The City needs a mayor who cares about the little guy not people like Ford.

The Citizens of Detroit needs to get rid of this uncaring, errogant, playboy Mayor and elect someone who honestly cares for Detroit.  Only then will the City progress.

 

 

That is an excellent point Phyliss but I think a lot of his not resigning has to do with his ego and the fact that his "people" are most likely advising him to wait...until he finds out if he will be charged by Kym Worthy, or Mike Cox. He can then make his resignation part of his please aggreement. If he resigns prematurely, what does he have to bargain with?

If there is a discovery let's say that there were messing with the bid process...let's say Kwame gave special favors to his friend Ferguson... that could be a Federal crime, investigated and charged by the Attorney General of the United States (Treasury Department), because Federal guidelines apply when there are Federal funds involved. Davis-Bacon act, etc.

Furthermore... there could also be Federal issues with unreported income and the IRS-CID would then be involved.

I think wxyz started 2 at the same time yesterday or day before. Most the ole timers are coming in here because its more fun knocking the kobbleheads down. I think Gene210 got lost and confused also. This is just making me dizzy. I think the old forum got too big and thats why we had so many problems the last day we used it. Now that there's two or more it will take longer to fill up. I pray that every news piece will not include another expense the mayor is making, being it public or private in nature.  To micromanage his private time with his family is utterly ridiculous and appears to be another beginning of a witch hunt by Mr. Wilson.  It seems as if he is saying that no other mayor or public official has ever had the ability to fly on private jets on their own private time, unless it was some unscrupulous dealing behind such.  To suggest that just because Mayor Kilpatrick and his family travelled via private jet means that he has another scandal unleasing is pure hogwash and prejudicial in nature!  The way the media has been in Mayor Kilpatrick and his family's lives, if I were the Mayor, I would get nothing less than a private jet to get away to have some quality time with my family.  The Mayor also has friends and supporters that would not mind footing the bill if he couldn't afford it when they see the witch hunt and public humiliation his family has to endure.  Friends do that with no expectation of future reward.  Every friend or supporter does not offer assistance or gifts just for bribery or favors from you later.
