I am thinking Gene had Lana Stempien, Chick Rutherford and Tamara Greene killed. I think Gene, and his massive knowledge, rational and education are just way too much for the FBI.
A long way? A monkey could be trained in less time to change the font and color for the love of God.
I asked, politely for the 68pt font, BOLD, and red to not be used, because it hurt my eyes. So, I guess this is Old Gene's way of saying f u.
And you people encourage him. So much for mature adults posting on a message board. I have ignored it for days, and none of you have a problem with Gene being so obviously, obnoxious with intent so... I am done ignore his ignorance.
Too bad Old Gene was't driving westbound on 94 this afternoon... could have eased the drain on the Big 3 welfare system. It is encouraging that at least he has a job that matches his intellect, wouldn't want him around other humans. Mowing grass is probably pushing his intellect as it is.
Use as big of a font as you want Gene. No doubt it is in response to your "Napolean Complex".

You are absolutely correct Tushana... I have no compassion for ignorance, specifically, willful ignorance. Gene has propelled this. Gene CHOSE to continue, and pollute this board with his willful disregard, and redundant, uninformed words. Keep dishing for him. I really could careless who likes it, who doesn't. I stopped responding to Gene and obviously, Gene missed it because he has gone above and beyond trying to get a response from me. So now, he's got it.
Frankly, Gene offers nothing to my world. Maybe if he cut my grass, I would feel differently. Since he doesn't, and since he has gone out of his way to make certain that we all know that he is a bigot, and a racist, and blames everyone but himself for his place in the world, he is useless to me. He is a drain on the system and the fewer of them, the better.
I don't care if you all don't like it, I am not going anywhere, and I am not going to stop this time. It didn't work last time, so why should I?
I have as much right to my opinion, just because I don't agree with everyone doesn't make me wrong. How interesting is it that this forum seems to attack anyone that doesn't agree with them? I don't agree with half the people that post... doesn't mean that they are wrong and I am right. I never want my world to consist of only people that agree with my every thought... how stagnant. Maybe that's the problem.

'They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk: Why you ain't, Where you is, What he drive, Where he stay, Where he work, Who you be...
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.
In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living. People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around.
The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what?? And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics. I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit. Where were you when he was 2?? Where were you when he was 12?? Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?? And where is the father?? Or who is his father? People putting their clothes on backward: Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong? People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something? Or are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up? Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body? What part of Africa did this come from?? We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa . With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap, and all of them are in jail. Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem. We have got to take the neighborhood back. People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now. We have millionaire football players who cannot read. We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job. Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us. We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.
We cannot blame the white people any longer.'

As always I respect your opinion and your right to share it, as you know, we have had our own chats and discussions and sometimes we agree, sometimes we dont. That is HUMAN nature and it is part of what drives all of us.
However, the constant fighting on this board drives me NUTS!!!!, it has become a soap opera(albeit one in which some genuine facts and information is shared).
I am not writting this to defend Gene, I am sure at 70 yrs old, he can handle some criticism, but why cut down the man for his job?..........at least he is earning an honest paycheck, which is a lot more than I can say for other residents of Detroit(sorry in ADVANCE to ALL of you HARD WORKING Detroit residents, Taxpayer and Laura56 among them)
There happen to be many things I disagree with on this forum, as with ALL forums, but I simply choose to IGNORE much of it, while in some cases it DEMANDS a response(if I am named or attacked personally) but even in those cases where it "demands" a response, as Taxpayer stated, it would be better for ALL parties if this were done thru private contact and OUTSIDE of this forum.
I enjoy debating about KK & Co., and I enjoy debating the law(I love your input Laura56), but I simply cannot handle this constant bickering back and forth IN forum...............Please, do it privately
To you Gene, hey, you are somewhat of an ICON here, but please dont PURPOSELY upset anyone on the forum either................The Beattles once sung "We can work this out" and I believe Rodney King uttered the Infamous line of "Can't we all just get along"..............................come on peple, lets show some civility IN FORUM, and lets stop this soap opera.
Tantra, you are FULL of GREAT information, you provide insite to this FORUM as well, but lets please get along in FORUM, ignore what you dont like. Hell, I would go CRAZY if I tried to respond to everything I disagree with
Sorry for the rant, just something I needed to say.

Karmanos: Kilpatrick should not resign
By KATHERINE YUNG • FREE PRESS BUSINESS WRITER • May 16, 2008
Detroit business leader Peter Karmanos Jr. said today that he does not think Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick should resign.
“He certainly should not resign because he’s the best we have,” the chairman and chief executive of Compuware Corp. told the Free Press during a company celebration this morning in downtown Detroit’s Campus Martius.
Karmanos declined to comment further. Karmanos agreed to move his company headquarters downtown in 1999, before Kilpatrick took office, and the new building is a hub of activity adjacent to Campus Martius Park.
Karmanos’ comments came just days after the Detroit City Council voted to launch two separate initiatives to try to oust the mayor, who is facing perjury and other charges related to the text message scandal.
Since the mayoral scandal broke, few of the city’s business leaders have been willing to publicly say anything about what the mayor should do. The board of Detroit Renaissance, a group of about 50 corporate chief executives in the region, is divided over whether it should take a stand on the controversy or continue to keep a low profile.
Karmanos has played a key role in efforts to revitalize Detroit, but he said that his work in this area has not been impeded by the mayoral text message scandal.

And a great comment from the freep forum:

Looks like MotownJohnnie said it all. Pox on Karmanos.
Willing to bet, the Karmanos name will surface in the text messages. Interesting coincidence after yesterday's electronic information "policy change", which is legally null and void. These people are complete idiots, and now they’re complete and desperate idiots.
Definitely in panic mode. Their mouths are moving much faster than their brains, without thinking about long term consequences of them. But then, when did any of them worry about consequences?
Makes me wonder though, what's going on in the background that is setting this off? Something, something big. Unless it's starting to become real - the shock has worn off.
Obviously, whatever is going on in the background it is so devastating that no one can keep a level head--they have ALL imploded. Have you noticed that kwame's attorneys cannot hold their heads up, or maintain eye contact these days?
The Legal team has received the Prosecution's discovery CD's. They are all panicking! Probably something really obvious like "Now that we've KILLED TAMARA GREENN......." I'm sure there is enough to bring the Feds in. KYM did say she passed a few things up to the FEDS. Contract fixing.... murder... the usual thug activities. That's why everyone is acting desperate! NO DEALS FOR CB or KK! Why should stepping down be punishment enough? When will we pass a law that says innocent till proven guilty but during our wonderful legal systems 27 year process KK could retire in office after completing his 12 full terms if left up to the voters of Detroit. Where is the RECALL? Oh Yeah its one of the Team Kilpatrick members that got their recall through. Expect nothing to become of that!!!!
The only ones who should be spared are Watson, Kenyatta, Jones both Cockeril's and Dave Bing. Eliminate the entire regime starting with MAMA Kilpatrick. Prosecute everyone involved to the fullest extent.
PS Why is anyone concerned with KK changing policy? The policy in effect at the time of infraction should apply correct? Laura? Please advise.

Kwame "changing the privacy policy" on city owned/leased communications equipment comes at an ODD time. By doing so(changing his OWN written policy) he is almost admitting that the previous POLICY was subject to PUBLIC review, which is exactly contrary to what he has been fighting in court.
It also makes Detroit the ONLY major city(hell, only city) that I know of, that communications over PUBLIC equipment, is deemed private...........however, as Laura56 stated earlier, it is imply illegal to make that type of policy change, and if you read the EXACT wording of the NEW policy, it does say that the, expected privacy rights are subject to litigation(I purposely did not quote that because it is rephrasing it in my words). A simple FOIA filed would more than likey be enough to make all communications on city equipment public(subject to there relevancy to any particular case of course)

paspeen,
Bill Cosby has given some great speeches and advice in recent years, but in general, black "activist" types (Sharpton, Jackson et al) just go crazy and tell him he's got no right to tell black people to raise their children in this manner.
Obviously, Cosby is saying these things so the kids will grow up to be responsible members of society, attaining well-paying jobs, being good parents, etc. But most of these activists attack him whenever he delivers such a speech.
To me, it sounds like these activists resent anyone telling them to behave differently, as if they would be acting "white" if they studied, spoke differently, stayed out of trouble, etc. It's very sad to see how this very constructive criticism has been misconstrued.
Hopefully I didn't say anything that offended anyone here. If I did, that was not my intention.

Kathy, I did hear someone on TV once say that "dis" was short for "disrespect". The examples Indyf shows agree with that definition.

Tantra, I also responded to you earlier today with large print and bold color. I didn’t know it hurt your eyes or that it bothered you so much. I am sorry! I will refrain from the bold colors but I sometimes do use large print because it’s easy for me to find my post when I have missed a day or so and look back, Its also easier for me to proof read as I have poor eye sight. I will try and remember to use softer colors also because they help me for the same reason, and I think sometimes it looks nice and cheers this place up.

Thanks, I am ashamed to sat I actually chuckled at your shot him description but ya know what its true. Killing each other has become an acceptable form of winning a dispute. How sad it didn't affect me otherwise, I guess I have also in a way become just as insentive to life. Where are we going in this crazy world?

Re: A question from Kathy1007
Kathy, just another thing. There is an "Urban Dictionary" you can go to to look up such things. Usually, when I hear a term with which I am unfamiliar, I go there and find it immediately!
Here is "dis":
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dis
CAUTION: The language at that site is often very vulgar!
