kelvinator: This is nothing new with her. This is what the ignorant do when they do not have a proper arguement to debate an issue. My goodness, look at the whacky things she has done during her whole tenure. She figures the louder and nastier she gets, the more right on any subject she is. Her behavioral issues are just another blow to the cities image. One heck of an example for our kids eh?
How can she be married to John Conyers?????She seems to be really low class and ignorant. Almost as bad as Ms. Cheeks-Kilpatrick.

LadyDivaLois:I don't believe this young man should resign or get fired. Has any other mayor resigned? Has any of our perfect presidents resigned? Uh! Mayor Kilpatrick got more publicity than president clinton when monica did what she did to president clinton and more publicity than president bush after he stole the presidency. We should leave this man alone. I dont understand this. The only other man that got this much publicity was OJ Simpson. Think about it. Wake up people. What did Jesus ask the people when they wanted to stone the adultress woman? Those that are without sin cast the first stone. How quickly we forget ummmm. Do we have any politicians that are perfect?
Thomas Jefferson had numerous Affairs. James Buchanon was Gay. Warren G. Harding was Blackmailed. So history will not be kind any politician who does not deserve it. Again I say I would never condone, or affirm the actions of our current Mayor. But, no matter what anyone thinks he is entitled to his day, or days in court. And if the individuals keep coming up with more charges, sorry to say he gets more court dates to defend his position.
Nixon resigned, Governor SPitzer resigned...and they never killed strawberry.
The sky is blue, water is wet, and did your mother have any kids that lived ??
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow. Pretty impressive comeback! Up until that last comeback of yours, I would never have guessed that you are in the second grade. Being an eight year old, I also have to compliment you on your typing skills. Your mother must be so proud.
P.S. Another good comeback for future use is "I'm rubber. You are glue. What ever you say bounces off me and sticks to you." Try it out on the play ground.
There are several answers that come to mind, but I'll leave you with this one:
Genesis 2: 2-3 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; And he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: Because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made......... Or
Exodus 20: 8,9,&11 Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work. For in six days the Lord made Heaven, and Earth, the Sea, and all that in them is, And rested on the seventh day: Wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath Day and hallowed it.
I must remind myself that everyone isn't keen enough to keep up. Since quotes from famous philosopher's went over the heads of many. The biblical references ARE ONLY to demonstrate that I don't even turn my computer on, on Sundays. Other than that little fact I would have responded sooner.
I initially responded to LadyDivaLois. I gave her MY examples of other politicians who had their share of troubles while in office. Which taxpayer did in kind. Now if my brand of humor escapes you, wouldn't it be easier to pass it by ?? Eventhough aren't you part of the few who still think I'm a woman. My testicles and I wholeheartedly disagree, but in that respect who cares what you think. So if you can't believe that I'm NOT who you think I am why waste the post ??
And in cyberspace, I only give one explaination of what I am about. Eventhough Popularity is when "others" like you. But, Happiness is when "you like" yourself. And just for your edification (as if it really matters to you) my Mother passed away July 17, 1987 from a malignant Brain Tumor. And long before she died she expressed many times that she was proud of me, and all her children. My Dad died from old age on August 30, 2004. As for the time I spend on the "playground" is well spent with my beautiful 4 year old granddaughter.

I read quite well, thank you, and saw exactly what you wrote. I am referring to your post yesterday on the Council Moves to Oust Mayor forum here on WXYZ. Or was someone else using your user name?
Please don't be so angry. You have had good things to say.
Peace....

That's the misconception, there is nothing that can be said to make me angry. I'm just making my opinion on the topic known just like everyone else. I've said this more than once "individual philosophies will always be about the interpretation of it's host".
My life, or for that matter my lifestyle is not on trial. And since no one can really make up their mind whether I'm a man or a woman it's not a deal breaker for me. Like I said last month I don't walk on water, nor do I turn it into wine, but just like everyone else I do have an opinion. That I am allowed.

I lived in Detroit when we were kids as did most of us. I live in Troy now but, I work in Detroit for Catering companies at City events, Conventions, etc. I pay City of Detroit taxes and I feel that this "White" person has a right to their opinion when it comes to the Mayor's antics. His problems have caused 2 (that we know of) Conventions to be cancelled and taken elsewhere. This directly affects myself and my family. His actions effect everyone not just the citizens of Detroit. The cancellations cost me a minimum of $900.00 in pay and income for Detroit.
I worry that when it is all said and done, the Mayor will walk with a slap on the wrist, dethroned, but free. I think that Ms. Beatty needs to worry about herself and take action. As we all know, she will be the one left holding the bag, in jail, lose her kids and a laughing stock. Christine, you need to realize that he is NOT going to EVER leave his wife for you or anyone!!! Give the ba_tard up, let him get his in court and save your own a_ s!!! Testify and the "Truth will set you FREE" girl!!

Christine Beatty will not testify against the thug kk. He is still taking care of _"Backseat Beatty", her bills and attorney fee's - no way is she able to pay for a home, take care of her children and travel when she is not working. They are not kidding anyone! Remember, Carletta doesn't give a sh-- about what kk does. They are all sleeze bags and I feel for the children involved - kids are very smart and they know what is going on.
