Yes, over on detroituncovered.com, it is being reported that Chief Barren has been fired effective as of July 6.  Guess who will replace him???  Sheriff Warren Evans!  What the h&ll is wrong with Bing?  After reading about that I feel that there really is no hope for detroit.

Our good ole Stevie is on the case, he has already posted a new thread at detroityes.com asking if anyone else has heard about this.  The media should be banging on Bing's door right now.  Curious if he is in town today or at his "summer" residence in Franklin!

 

Didn't Bing promise that this guy would stick around?  Great.  Now it's too late for Cockrel to run.  Sounds like Kilpatrick II is in office now. 

Bing, another one voted in for name recognition.  Basketball skills don't necessary transfer over to running a city.  Just as "Terminator" acting skills don't transfer to the running of a state.

Well......how interesting.  I just went there to do a cut and paste over here and it has disappeared.  I guess Bennett can't handle a little criticism from Steve.  I have said to myself that when I see something like that, I should copy and save, because too many time it disappears.  As Steve said in his post, he knows the site is Bennett's and his to do with it as he pleases, but...I think this may start giving a clue as to what Bennett is all about...maybe another non-transparent politico. 

Mildred has been spiraling downward for about the past 10 months.  Bennett's site began to expose some of the corruption and because of this the sheep gravitated toward him for information.  Shepherds usually guide their sheep in the right direction and I don't think Bennett has the best interest of the city at heart..  I always felt Bennet had more interest in his political agenda and would not have been any better than what is currently in place on council..  Monica's lawsuit against the DPS has been exposed before.  Wilson in bringing all this information to the surface is hoping people will reflect back and make better choices when they vote.  If red flags pop up it is an individual's responsibility to pay attention and research.  How many people are even capable of doing this?  I still have respect for Gary Brown and I am trusting Bing in his choices.  K. Cockrel was president of that council and alot happened that wasn't good.  I often wondered what would have happened if he had been more proactive.  All that is currently happening in Detroit has been perpetuated since the early 60's.  Regardless if Bing lived in Detroit or not he was an individual that was voicing concerns about the DPS for years and NO ONE listened.  He expressed concerns to leaders about the lack of entry skills these "graduates" of DPS had.  The area surrounding Cody and Herman Gardens had never been what one would consider a high end community BUT the population living there had pride in their communities, respect for property and valued human life.  Parents were active and involved in raising their children.  BOUNDARIES were established on what was appropriate and what was inappropriate and there were consequences.

Barbara Rose once again shows she is completly out of touch with reality even AFTER Shiela Cockrel tries to patiently explain the fact that she contacted the FBI and the only reason Shiela Cockrel was subpeonaed was because they wanted infomation from her regarding other council members. Baba plays the race card as usual and says that the Free Press is racist. Idiot!

She was quite the idiot, again.  And if she had a beef with the free press WHY was she bringing it up at council.  And OMG the paper is racist because they mentioned her name and not cockrel, and that is why they are going out of business.  Even bigger idiot.

Bennett was hired/paid by the Democratic party/Dennis Archer to use his website to hype Obama when he was running for President.  Bennett is also part of Gaddis's group that is against the Cobo Hall deal.  She is backing Bennett and has had him on her radio show a few times.

I was watching that meeting when she flipped out - she brought it up a council so she could single out Shiela Cockrel and rant at her saying she talked to the FED's too and the Freep didn't make a story out of it. - Shiela countered with the difference was she walked in herself and was told she was not under investigation whereas, the FED's had to go after Rose-Collins and Reeves.  Ros-Collins is as nuts a Conyers.

I can't believe Bing is populating so much of his cabinet with Kilpatrick F & F.  And now that Ken Cockrel has already bowed out of the mayor's race, Detroit is out of luck for the next five years, before the real mayoral election has even occurred yet!  What a disaster.  And Bing is a HUGE disappointment here!

I knew we were in for a bad time when Bing brought in Jesse Jackson right before the election to campaign. Bing hangs around low lifes. I hope Bing gets the boot the next election. He will probably call in old Jesse again. The state needs to take over Detroit if Bing gets elected again. I hope Robert Bobb available.
