I think it should be left up to the individual companies to determine what they think is the better route for them to take.I moved from Ohio, I have seen businesses suffer. I have seen businesses close the doors. The economy here in Michigan sucks and it looks like its not going to change anytime soon. Why would they do more damage to this state before its made better. Right now they need to focus on bigger issues then smoking. I am a smoker, And I agree there are boundaries that need to be put in place. I don't smoke in my home,because of my children. But i don't take my children into bars. I know alot of people who only smoke when they drink, You take away the smoking in the bars and these people will leave. I know I would. If they pass this, businesses will suffer. I have already seen this in other states. If I was them I would leave this issue alone for right now and focus on what really matters. And if they continue with this petty issue and more damage is done, Then more businesses will go under and there will be even fewer jobs. Everbody needs to think about the economy rather then themselves. If they don't like a certain environment don't go there, Don't take your family there. But why would you feel the need to put other people out, Or cost people their businesses, And put people out of work just to satisfy yourself.
