    Re: Granholm

I can agree with much of what you said tantra. But in a sense that is from the outside looking in perspective. I have a friend on another Forum who defends the City of Philadelphia. When it comes up that no City is more rowdy when it comes to their sporting events. Specifically the battery throwing incidents at the football game. Along with the snowball throwing. Those incidents will eventually be forgotten, that is when the people let it go.

So the references you made to Detroit with the exception of the Mayor, are going on elsewhere as it is here. We are not the only City that is in financial turmoil. Contrary to what many believe this Country is in dire straits. We have had many an official go through degrading ordeals of their own making since the first of this year, and the millinium. Which just because it's happening in your own back yard doesn't make it any less degrading to a degree.

Michigan isn't the only state that is feeling the financial pinch in Government spending. The national news will always be a side bar when something is going on in your own neck of the woods. And if you believe that no one would be willing to move TO the City of Detroit, you really haven't driven through the City. It's not as delapidated as one leads to portray. The housing market is down Country wide not just here in Michigan.
