While the city council's vote against the Kwamster is certainly a referrendum on his behavior, why on earth didn't they check this out more thoroughily as to whether they had the authority to do so MONTHS AGO? 

This judge just stated that they could not - that the charter only provides for recall, or for the governor to remove him.  But look at all of the time and effort that was wasted, only to have a ruling MONTHS LATER that they can't remove him anyway.

What a mess.

Exactly. More time and money wasted. Well, at least we know now that Grandholm CAN remove him from office. Do your job Jenny, remove Kwame Kilpatrick from office, NOW!
