There is NO REASON to hold a special election at this time...partly due to funding and mostly because KC has worked hard and will continue to work hard for the City. I have complete faith in KC to fulfill the office of Mayor until the next General Election. I wonder who in city council proposed this, guess I have to read up on that...because it's not necessary. I get more of a feeling that some just want KC out so this whole KK thing stops in it's tracks. Everyone should email the city council members and tell them not to approve this amendment because it is not necessary! It appears you have to click on a council members photo to get to their info, which lists a link to their email address. I think it says we have til Tuesday. If you trust in Ken Cockrel, then email them. Don't let others push him out of the way and do a special election...it's not necessary! He's a strong man with integrity!
I am in total agreement here. We have spent 8 months in a deadlock with the entrenched felon running the show, the next year is sure to be an improvement. There were plenty of Kwame supporters previously that wanted city council to "get to work on city business" and to "stop wasting money". I would imagine that they would be leading the charge to just get on with business, let Ken Cockrel sit in the office until the next election, and save the city millions, right?
