The detroityes forum does have options to set up a group blog that would be by invitation only I just haven't taken the time to do it yet.  Punky has emailed me the info, so sometime in the future I will try and get this done.

Watson is the clowncil member who has been spouting off about how the state of Michigan "owes" Detroit. Perhaps, if the citizens of Detroit "paid" their fair share(with her being first in line), they wouldn't be in so much debt.

If Watson didn't think anything was wrong with her $68 tax bill, then how can the people of Detroit possibly entrust her with oversight of the city's business? She is supposed to understand contracts and make decisions regarding millions/billions of city $$$$. She didn't bother to check with the assessors office until being called out by the media, years after the reduction.

I would have been so impressed if she had acted like a mature, reasonable adult.... "yes, there is obviously a mistake and I'm going to make it right". Instead we get the same old, same old.... an indignant "someone is trying to smear me".

Is there anyone in authority in Detroit that can be counted on for their honesty, fairness and integrity? Just wondering.....
