rvtwitty:I know this is a chick flick and the guys here may not want to see this movie. Julia Child was a third or fourth cousin of mine. I don't know how to figure this stuff out. Anyway, I am going to see the movie soon. Her grandmother and my great grandmother were sisters. Never met her but got a post card a year before she died. I had written her how we were distantly related. She asked me to write her niece in Colorado with the info. Have not written her yet but will soon. I have some family pictures and books of the McWilliams family, that was Julia's family.
I think THAT mivie will be really funny and I don't see it as a chick flick . Does anyone remember YEARS ago on Saturday night live , THE ORIGINAL SAT NIGHT LIVE , they did a spin off of Julia child where she was cutting something very fast, then in the spoof cuts her finger bad. and does her famous OOPS!!! She was holding some kind of tube behind her finger so we couldn't see, that looked like it was blood that just poured out and she was running around holding her finger still trying to do the cooking show, blood spurting everywhere.Laughed myself sick. That was a long time ago, maybe 15to 20 years when comedy didn't need to kill someone to be funny but you still got the chills. It still gets me today even though I know its a joke. Innocent times when something like this today wouldn't even get om. Kind of like drive by shootings. Has anyone heard how that girl 13 yrs. I think who was shot in the head by a gang was doing. It was on the news once and didn't see it again.
PS HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT OUCH. My dog won't even go out. I'll have to drage her up from the basement an put her out for her business. This dog can hold it.
