    Re: totally way off topic

    punky1:
Now the feds and another organization have decided that mammograms every year for women in their 40s is not necessary unless they are in the high risk category.  Someone I used to work with, in their 40s, just finished chemo and radiation, then had a double mastectomy.  She had missed her "yearly" mammog.  Her two year wait had resulted in this mess.  She did not handle the chemo well at all.  The good news is, looks like they got it all.  I don't know about you all, but I am increasing suspect of "studies", especially in today's health care climate, and especially when it comes from the feds.  Thanks, just had to vent.

I have a feeling this is what we have to look forward to under 0bamacare.  But instead of the feds "suggesting" that annual mammograms not be obtained until age 50, it will be mandated.  And this could occur not just with mammography, but in every area of medicine.

But it's not a "done deal" yet.  Hopefully the Senate will see that the American people just don't want this devastating change, nor do they want the government involved in their health care!  Even if they don't care about us, they will hopefully care about being re-elected.
