I am having a hard time trying to figure out the comparison of Placing three nooses on a tree and beating a boy into unconsciousness.  Although reprehensible hanging the ropes on a tree is not a crime that should be punished by the State.  Maybe a Federal charge of "Ethnic Intimation" would be appropriate.  For six boys to beat one boy until he was unconscious is a criminal offense and the City and State have laws that were broken and for that all six should be punished.
I wonder what Rev. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and the multitudes would have done and said if it was one BLACK  boy between into unconsciousness by six WHITE boys.

i guess none of your family has been hung from a tree. Obviously u are not black, nor am i. but those nooses are a symbol to me of a time in history where blacks were treated like animals,not people. if u went though what they had to maybe u would understand that those kids probably snapped. i am sure they had a relative that died  hanging from a tree.hanging those nooses was cruel and evil!

I am sure that they snapped just as I am sure that those who hung the nooses on the tree exhibited the type of mentality the led up to the Civil War.  However I don't think it is a bad thing for those six to be prosecuted for the beating.

I can't help but wonder if Jesse Jackson and Rev Sharpton jumped on the Racist band wagon because there has been little Racial Injustice to Rally the troops about, that hasn't been handled by the appropriate authorities, and they jumped at the chance over the Jena 6 incident.

All of this makes me sick. Why can't we let it go. Why do people breed hatered into their children do you now see the harm.I have been sitting back listening to alot of people and alot of excuses. LOOK at what hatered has done for these children. We do not live in a time of slavory. Ancesters did yes. Was there wrong doings yes. Many.  But we live in the here and now. Why must we teach hatered and mistrust. Are all of you happy? With what you all have had a helping hand in creating? Im saddened by this. You can put this in the same catagory with the school shootings. The kids who hung the nooses need help. The kids who beat the kid also need help. They need to be taught that what they did on both sides were wrong. Don't make excuses. There is a lot of anger in these kids.It came from somewhere. And I not saying just from the parents. But from their environment, enraged adaults. And don't get me wrong,The racism is not only coming from whites aimed at blacks. There is also blacks that are racist against whites. Its not one way. Ask your self this question    If you saw a child suffering in need of help,would you worry about the color of the childs skin? I hope you said NO.   So then why breed such hatered?
