NEW YORK (AP) - A former New York Knicks executive at the center of a sexual harassment lawsuit repeatedly complained to a friend from work that coach Isiah Thomas had berated her with foul language, according to trial testimony Tuesday.

"What are your job responsibilities, you ... ho?" Thomas, with an obscenity added for emphasis, told former vice president Anucha Browne Sanders in 2004, according to the secondhand account of her friend, Jeffrey Nix.

Sanders is seeking $10 million in damages on her claim that she was fired because she accused Thomas of harassment. Thomas denies the allegations.

Nix, who testified Tuesday in Manhattan's U.S. District Court, worked for the Knicks for 15 years, including stints as a bench coach and in the front office. He said he was let go last month.

Nix said he recalled a number of conversations he had with Browne Sanders in 2004.

When another executive left the room during a meeting to make a phone call, Thomas reminded Browne in obscene language that he was the president of the team.

After a Dec. 29, 2004 Knicks victory, Nix said he saw Thomas embrace Browne Sanders. She later told her friend that Thomas had stated: "I'm in love with you."

On Monday, jurors watched a videotaped deposition in which a mild-mannered Thomas said: "I never cursed at Miss Sanders. ... Now have I ever used curse words around her, yes, but at her? No."

On the tape, the former Detroit Pistons great also said that he would find it more offensive if a white male called a black female a "b****," than if a black male used the same term when speaking to a black female.

So, do you agree with Thomas' assertion that it is less offensive for a black man for refer to a black woman as a b**** that for a white man to say it?

Racism in this country will never end as long as there is a double standard. The black community shouldn't set "rules" for the white community to follow that they don't and the same for the white community. It is extremely unkind to call anyone a "B" wether they are black, white, male, female, etc. Everyone should be offended by that word.

It is not proper or very respectful for any man to swear at any women or vice versa no matter what their race creed or color.  If a man has respect for a woman, he would not be using foul language anyhow.

NO!!!!!!!!         It does not matter. When are people going to wake up. When are people going to stop playing the racial cards.  That seems to be everyones way out of a situation. Slavery ended along time ago. We as people keep it going. Thats what this is about. The issue went from being about name calling to women offensive to being about color, just that quick.  I am white and native american. My people where truly done wrong and in some cases worse then the african americans. But do we stand there and holler racism this racism that.  No we don't. In reality we know what happened and what still is going on. We don't need it thrown into everything on a daily basis. Lets work together to make things better for our children so they can live in piece amoung themselves without all the hate,mistrust,and anger. Just like the african americans  are in the wrong about yelling racism all the time. So is the whites for refering to it and adding their comments. No woman deserves to be belittled. I don't care who you are or where you come from.or what color your skin is. It is disrespectful period.
