• Re: off topic- Days of our Lives

Those actors and staff really did work , visit the homeless shelters, Veterans Hospital, gather canned goods for the food bank. They were here 4 days. Not much fluff, they worked hard. Sure publicity don't hurt, but ...

  • Re: off topic- worthless stocks and fiat currency

taxpayer: The following two paragraphs are the end of an 8 page story in this month's Rolling Stone magazine. Rolling stone seems to be the only paper I can find that is covering this banking ''crisis'' crap truthfully. See the entire article at ...

  • Re: That's not gum, dumba$$

Cox is a sneaky dirtbag. Karmanos is a user. Channel 4 last night had a retired cop ( MSP and well respected) say he stung Dan Gilbert in a loan shark, betting ring. Gilbert was a shakedown artist. Then Gilbert is quoted as saying it is all a lie. Then a Gilbert spokesman tries to back track and confuse. There is a reason why some of these ...

  • Re: Interesting questions

walking tall:rvtwitty--here is what I have done ,and am very happy: I have subscribed to the Motley Fool newsletter. I believe it is $99 a year. Following their stock recommendations have been very good for me. I sold almost all my mutual funds in My IRA , and my wife's 401K. The best advice has been Netflix, Marvel Entertainment, Fortune Brands, ...

  • Re: Interesting questions

I have some money invested ( small amount) in a mutual fund group that is not performing well. It is not worth cashing out and taking the hit on the fees. I switched one of the funds to a Chinese growth fund before the crash. That fund did very well, then started to slip some, then during the crash really dipped. One of the officers of ...

  • Re: kit1007 mail fix

Kathy 1007: I am just going to take a chance of putting my e mail down. My mail @ kit1007@wideopen mail .com. crashed and since I can't open or even see new mail. . So if people have responded to me in the past and got no e mail allowed at such address that why. I feel locked inside of the stone age, I have caught bits and ...

  • Re: Detroit election

Charles Pugh is alright, but I am sorry he is now the head of the council. Kenny has a prescence. Watch for those 2 to have some big differences. I hope Watson is thrown out if and when more ethics questions arise. Thank goodness Gary Brown was elected. Detroit almost got it right this time. Sure a lot better than last time. Those lard butts ...
